Sheetz has set the opening date for its first store in central Ohio and has announced locations for 13 other stores in the region. The stores are among 50 stores the Altoona, Pennsylvania-based restaurant, convenience store and gas station company wants to put in the Columbus area by the end of 2025 as part of a $250 million investment that it announced last September. The first store is scheduled to open in Delaware at 710 Sunbury Rd. on April 6. The retailer has said it will eventually have about 1,500 employees in central Ohio, or 30 per store. The typical store will be about 6,000 square feet. Sheetz pitches its stores as restaurants that also sell gasoline.
