Joseph Campbell, a mythologist and the writer of The Hero's Journey once said: “A hero is a person that has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself”.
The Hero's Journey is a story structure that can be seen through different cultures and time periods. From the stories of the Buddha, to King Arthur's tales, to Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, the common theme and symbols in these stories influence our lives. We take qualities of these heroes as compass directions to inspire the people we become.
