As youth, why are we so resistant to advice?

Ask yourself? In this one life, if you could only choose one: Is it better to love or to travel? 

A thought that roamed around my head for sometime. It was only in hearing the thoughts of others, how they shared similar sentiments yet broadened my perspective that I understood how simply complicated the decision can be.
