View descriptionShare

Mayor John Turner and City Manager Robb Corbett review last night's Pendleton Development Commission and City Council meetings. Starting with the PDC, Turner says the Jump Start Committee discussed the Path to Success business plan competition and took a look at the financial report. At the city council meeting, Corbett says there was a public hearing on amending the business regulation ordinance, plus the approval of a purchase order for pumps, motors and installation at one of the city's wells. Next, Turner and Corbett shared how the Pendleton Round-Up went for them. Next, they spoke on the city's legislative priorities, the upcoming League of Oregon Cities (LOC) Annual Conference and LOC's legislative priorities. Corbett then talks about the next step for opening land for housing development in the Rees Goad area, then gives an update on the former Christian Science building. Turner wraps up the conversation discussing whether the city will work with ODOT to try again for federal funding to rebuild the Exit 209 interchange with Southgate.
