Commissioner John Shafer talks about made the county earmark $750,000 for Blue Mountain Community College's workforce development program. He also talks about the Walla Walla County Board of Commissioners renewing the agreement with Umatilla County regarding the housing of juvenile offenders in Walla Walla and whether he things Umatilla County will have have a juvenile facility of its own again. Shafer shares his opinion on the seeming decision in Salem that the entire state is suffering from a shortage of district attorneys. He also talks about meeting with the trade delegation from China and top federal trade officials, plus talks about the groundbreaking of BMCC's Farm II on Monday being postponed and the county's view on this.
