Pendleton Mayor John Turner and City Manager Robb Corbett review last night's Pendleton Development Commission and City Council meetings. Starting with the PDC, there were updates given on the former Christian Science building and History Preserved Tours. New business consisted of the Path to Success business plan competition, approving a contract with the Pendleton Downtown Association, and approving revisions in the building grant application process. As for the city council meeting, bid awards were approved for the Roy Raley Ice Rink contract, plus the 2024 slurry seal project. Under new business, the Pendleton City Council unanimously approved a committee recommendation that the city endorses Boutique Air to remain its Essential Air Service carrier. Corbett says no public hearing on the decision is required. Corbett then spoke about the budget process.
