Commissioner Cindy Timmons is the new chair for the board of commissioners and explains what the means. She then talks about attending today's meeting of the Governor's Commission on Senior Services and what the group is working on. Next week, she attends a quarterly meeting with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation and discusses how important that cooperation with CTUIR is to the county. Timmons then expresses her concerns for the upcoming 2025 session of the Oregon Legislature, talks about the Umatilla County truancy policy and attending Gov. Kotek's State of the State address. Also discussed is Oregon State University and the Umatilla County Fair moving into new office space in Hermiston.
