Mayor John Turner and City Manager Robb Corbett begin by talking about how the swearing in of Fire Chief Anthony Pierotti did not happen last night as he's still on vacation in Tucson, Arizona, that his swearing in will take place in two weeks.  Turner talks about McKennon McDonald being elected as Council President, a role she has been serving. Turner also talks about the approval of a communications tower ground lease at 1610 NW 49th St., plus approval of the gun range agreements between the city, Oregon State Police and Umatilla Tribal Police Department. Council also approved amending the street tree ordinance, plus ordinance controlling vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Council also accepted a letter of resignation from Municipal Court Judge Blaine Clooten and appointed Judge Pro-Tempore Kent Bendixsen as Interim Judge. The council also received a facilities update and annual update on the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Both Turner and Corbett then spoke about the city's legislative priorities, the city budget, street projects, the Christian Science building and the RFP regarding to the two houses located by the old fire station.
