Next, he talks about the costs of emergency dispatch services jumping more than $25,000 for the next fiscal year and whether the increase makes sense to him. Nelson gives an update on staffing, shares his concerns with the current session of the Oregon Legislature, then gives a status on the new police SUV and progress on the two pickup trucks PPD wants to lease that were cancelled. Finally, Nelson, who is also the coach for the Pendleton High School swim team, takes a minute to talk about the team, upcoming meets and the need for a pool that can be used year-around.
