Mayor John Turner and City Manager Robb Corbett recap last night's Pendleton Development Commission (PDC) and city council meetings. Starting with the PDC, they discuss reports from the Jump-Start Committee and Advisory Committee, then give an update on building grants, which includes the status of the Odd Fellows and Hotel Pendleton. Corbett then gives an update on funding for the Pendleton Downtown Association, followed by Turner giving a report on storefront occupancy in downtown Pendleton. Next, they talk about the city council meeting and two separate bid awards, plus a public hearing on the Rees/Goad property and first readings on ordinances involving controlling vehicular and pedestrian traffic, plus street trees.  Corbett then talks about the pavement management index, then both Turner and Corbett give a city communications update and promote the Live Pendleton app.
