Pendleton Mayor McKennon McDonald recaps the Aug. 19 Pendleton Development Commission and City Council meetings. Starting with the PDC, McDonald gives an update on some of the development projects happening in town. She also talks about the PDC approving the five-year strategic planning initiative. Next, she talks about the the city council meeting and the request to update the arts commission bylaws and the public hearing that following regarding that agenda item. The council also approved engineering services for the resource recovery facility and a consultant for the Pendleton UAS Range. McDonald then shares the proposal from Neighbors for a Better Pendleton regarding dealing with unhoused residents in downtown Pendleton and what's next for what the Pendleton City Council heard from residents last night.
