Littlefield then explains why drivers should not depend on GPS when trying to avoid closed roads due to inclement weather. Hermiston School District Superintendent Tricia Mooney talks about being appointed to serve as vice chair of Oregon's Quality Education Commision by Gov. Tina Kotek. She explains what the commission does and what should a high-quality education in Oregon's public schools look like. She also talks about Christmas break and what parents can do to keep their children engaged and read to go back to school in 2025. Next, Mooney talks about a big moment coming up in 2025 with a fully operational Hermiston Student Health Clinic at the high school. The also talks about how fall sports went and the Mid-Columbia Conference Honors received by Hermiston High School. Mooney then explains how last month's Family Resource night went and explains what that was all about. She also talks about the district getting national attention in Newsweek for its career and technical education. Mooney wraps up the conversation sharing her concerns regarding the upcoming session of the Oregon Legislature.
