Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation Fisheries Program Manager Jerimiah Bonifer gives a broad overview of thw the program is and touches on each project. He also shares the fisheries program goals and why these goals are important to the tribe and its members, plus the general public. Bonifer shares some of the successes and obstacles of the fisheries program. He also talks about how the fisheries program works with area schools and how the public can learn more. Bonifer wraps up the conversation talking about the recent rainfall and how high water events impact some of the fisherie program's project. He also talks about the challenge of keeping invasive species out of local waterways.
