Mayor John Turner recaps last night's Pendleton Development Commission and City Council meetings. Starting with the PDC, an application for a building project grant for the Oak Hotel was reviewed and accepted. The PDC also approved funding for the renovation and upgrade of the Roy Rale Park Ice Rink. The city council awarded patching work to Interstate Concrete and Asphalt, there were public hearings on an ordinance to repeal the fire code, plus council approved a new agreement with ODOT for Goad Road - SE Kirk Avenue - Connector Road, plus a development agreement with the East End Reimbursement District and the SE 15th Street Project. The program ends with Kyle Willman and Brian Warren, two participants in this year's Leadership Pendleton class talking about the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce program that gives participants an overview of the various inner workings of business, government, agriculture, health services, education, social/cultural, and communication in our area.
