Saurabh Netravalkar’s story is uniquely ‘typical’. Like every other Mumbai cricketer, he had to juggle between cricket, education & Mumbai locals. Saurabh progressed through age-group cricket and represented India at the 2010 U-19 World Cup alongside KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and Jaydev Unadkat to name a few. At the same time, he completed his engineering but rejected a job offer to focus on his cricketing dream. However, the fierce competition meant that he never cemented his place in the side. At that point, he decided to turn back on cricket and moved to the USA for higher education. Even today his bread and butter is his job in a MNC as a software developer. But what has changed? He went back to cricket after moving to the States. Today, he is part of the USA squad for the T20 World Cup and will likely play against India on June 12.
