In the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Kamlesh scripted a famous win over China’s Lu Lin. He then went to the 2004 Olympics in Athens as a coach of the team and in 2024, he is the General Secretary of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI). It reflects in the fact that Achrekar - honoured with the Dronacharya Award - produced a dozen Test cricketers and dozens of first-class cricketers. Amol Muzumdar - one of his most prominent disciples - celebrates Guru Pournima by sharing memories of his beloved Guru
