Singapore has officially crossed the threshold into a super-aged society—and by 2035, more than one in four citizens could be seniors. Susan Ng and Hairianto Diman explore what that means for healthcare, caregiving, housing, jobs and the shrinking number of working-age Singaporeans supporting an ageing population. They speak with Dr Shannon Ang, Asst Prof of Sociology at Nanyang Technological University, Christopher Tan, Founder & CEO of Providend, Dr Arifin Trina, Consultant with the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Singapore General Hospital, and Dr Ad Maulod, Principal Research Scientist, Centre for Ageing Research and Education at Duke-NUS Medical School.
