Hey, Club Shade listeners, We'll be back soon with weekly episodes featuring brand new interviews with exciting roster guests. Until then, enjoyed the special rewind episode with one of my favorite moments from Club Sha Shake so far all my life running all my life, SA fights, hustle, one slice got the SA all my life, I've been grinding all my life, Prime cho raising a Prime DK Badcap whom I saw DK runs other Big Bay. He running her, but he was ready here. Yeah. But if you look at something my highlights roll, I'm chilling. I wasn't known for my speed, but there are some highlights where I've come from the backside all the way just to spring my guys. Hey, can't you talking to her against New York jets? Hey, I got some jets channing trust. I just looked like this. I try to tell Pi, I just look like this. I can cover some ground. I can ask Julio, I can slide. I can slide on it like now, I can slide. Who They've been talking going back and forth on social media? You same boat and Tyreek Ye, he need to stop, man, they need a drug test. Tyreek Hill forty yard forty yards Gold Medal versus Super Bowl ris Now who you funny on? After that? After that statement, I'm surprised he hasn't gotten drug tested about five times. I'm surprised he hasn't going to the media and talking about he didn't got drugs. He tied to getting drug tested because he's on he ain't right. You back it afforded not a semate because you say this is suggesting they run seventy meters. Tyreek says forty a forty yard dash. You don't think Tyreek and getting he might It'll be close. I said it'll be close in afford it, not no. Seven. He can't touch him in the semment. He can cancel Christmas if I don't care what he put at that seven yard line. That's seven meters on that line. He can put eighty million. He's gonna get that before who same boat? Get that? No set, No sir, re Bibby Jimmy. You you raised Tyreek a couple of years ago. Is Reek the fast? He's quick, He's quick, He's quick and fast. Yeah, he's quick and fast. I've never seen anybody celebrate like him, absolutely, and I've seen some guys. I was in the league when Sam Graddy. Sam Graddy was the silver medal in the eighty four Olympics. I was in the league with him, murmuring Fronds. James Jett was on the relay team that won the gold medal in ninety two. So I've seen some guys run d oh yeah. People, people don't realize how I'm telling he don't look if you you play d G darl Green, Dark Green run to yeah. I heard yea yeah, Dark Greenky run. Ron Brown was also who also was in the Olympics, and I think eighty four, I think he wanted the bronze. He might have won the bronze medal. I think we about swept the medal medal that year, or he might have been eighty eight that he wanted to bron So I've seen some guys, but I don't know if I've ever seen anybody accelerate like you can see it. Yes, when you're watching the game, you can see the acceleration. Yes, And there's such a distinctive difference in the speed in which he runs that it's it's obvious, right because those guys are track guys that happen to play football. Tyreka is a football player that has legit track speed. And I know that's been some back and forth with Marquettes, Goodwin and all these guys are supposed to be be fast. Hey, all of the guys quick. He is, he's cat quick and he's he's he. I mean, people don't realize he like he put together. They want to talk about a pound for pounds. Yeah, that that's I'm saying a pound for pound like receiver at him. You talk about a pound for pound boxer. That's Tyreek in your year? Did you ever have a did y'all have a scrimmages when you were in training camp? Did y'all play, you know, scrimmage against other team? Did you get I don't know if you saw you saw ab get in to fight the other day? Did you see the Cleveland situation to day Cleveland, Cleveland and the Giants. No, I didn't. I don't want to watch football like that. I don't check this out. The practice is over the field clear. They come back out there, uh sterling shepherd on the dB and and try to throw blows after the practice. So they organized us, Hey, don't worry about this here after practice because the coach told him he didn't want to have one. No more. No more fighting during practice. If they hold that after practice, they found a loophole after practice, see me tell they take it. Look they just matted into their own hand. I've never heard of that. I mean, you hear guys like in basketball, like you know, they get they they go to the showers and they catch them going to the bus and they'll you know, yeah, but this did did you did you have them? Did you ever get into it tuls in a in a practice? No? No, I was, And I was probably too tired to do all of that. See that's what I said. I said, Hello, if you got out the energy of the practice all the in the fight, you ain't practicing hard enough. I would, man, I man, I was trying to perfect my craft. I was just trying to be the best number one receiver. Wherever I tried to be the best, and I my practice have is that I I was always I've always been a work work type of guy. My work ethic was always there. And then that's why when I got to the Niners, everybody saw the similarities and Jerry and but Jerry always wanted to be a receiver. That was his passion. For me. I just kind of adopted, you know, and tried to enhance upon what my potentials were, and I became better. And like I said, I in order to be good at something, you gotta keep you gotta work it. And so that's that's what it was doing. I was molding myself to become so like the best receiver that I could be, you know, taking everything that I uh, you know that I could around me, even from other receivers that came free agents. I watched slot guys. I watched how they got over, you know, even the slow white guy that would get open. I'm like, how do you guys get known? There was something about it about the ability that would make them get open. So I would watch them. I would watch all different type of guys. If you would drive me in the first, second, third, part round, don't matter. I watched how you ran routes and how you got it, how you got open. Do you wish they had social media? Oh my boy, I would be a star boy. People already know me, but I would be bro I would be a megastar, like I would have millions of followers. No, no, that myself and Chad the way that we entertained how we engage with the fans. And I'm not saying that as you know, to be arrogant, but just how we entertain and how we we are very charismatic, and I understand the entertainment. I understand the business of the game, and so how we intertwined and how we engage with you know, just the fans. And now with social media, it would it would be crazy, dude, would you be going back and forth? Because a lot of times we see guys, a guy on the offense or the defense, or we see guys. Would you be going back and forth? Man, I would probably have one caption for them all weeks. Get your popcorn ready, That's all I would probably have to say. Right, And I said it. I mean I said it on the sideline, like if you I never people think that I talk trash when I tell you like what you always, Yes, you did. If you think about the highlights that you've seen, You've never seen me on the field going back and forth. It's always been on the sideline when I'm talking to because I know the camera's on me, right, even when we were warming up, right. I remember the Cowboys, My mama, shit, Mama, they got these cameras on me. I knew what I was I knew what I was doing, and I wanted to engage. I wanted to have fun with the game. And that's what I missed really now, I like I wish I would have. I would have had more fun right with the game. But it was just I was so so concentrated on really just become and just honing on just like I had that relentless pursuit of just trying to be as good as I wanted. Would you be tiktoking? Like nah? I mean, if you're gonna TikTok, you gotta back it up. Hey, if you're gonna TikTok, you gotta back it up. Man. Man, you see, they knocked the stuff with out. That's what made it so Corvette. Corvette got because he was doing all of that pre game. It was premeditated. But then you came back it up. It looks embarrassing. It does. So. I mean, like I said, everybody, I mean they think they want it. They think they want that line. Yeah, everybody to think everybody think the number one right, with number one getting all the coverage, he getting the number one dB the defensive coordinate to stand up late at night trying to come up with schemes. To the sky's the way to roll, to roll coverage, Joe Way and take you away, and you're just getting you getting the third dB, you getting the fourth dB, and you're putting, yeah, I'm that dog right because you're it's it's your numbers are skewed. Yes, they're they're they're they're legit, but it's skewed because you have to look at how you got those numbers. And then as soon as they as soon as you getting Pat p and you're getting John here Alexander, and you get Marshawn Lattimore and you getting those top dollars, you getting Jalen Ramsey, you get step On Gilmore. All of a sudden, the sign up a good receiver on a pet like you gotta do it with and without, Yeah, and you get you gotta do you gotta create, make plays, double teams, make plays. I remember talking to talking to the A B. He was frustrated. I said, AB, you can't be so consumed about what he's not doing or the balls are not coming your way. I say, bro, make the most of the balls to come. That's it. And and that's what he started doing because he was he was struggling because he felt like they were going away from him. They were intentionally going away from him, feeding juju right, and he was open and rightfully sow sometimes right. But I said, dude, that's something you can't you You're gonna lose that battles. I said, dude, just make the most of when those balls coming your way. And that's what he started doing. He started taking a little little going to the top if that's what you gotta do. Though, to you, I got the name Big play Shape because once I got to Baltimore, I wasn't getting featured like I was in Denver. I get one player game to the house I'm going and then over time, yea, the offensive cording, THEA we gotta thisa this guy more balls. What's your favorite dance? The pom pomp to sign it, the dancing with the cheerleaders, get the popcorn. I know I ain't gonna do that. I ain't gonna do that. I ain'tna do that now. I ain't gonna do that. I ain't gonna do ray like that now. I had I had fun that week that I had fun that week doing that. But now that the best I think the most creative probably was me signing the sharp and sharp and then impromptu was like the popcorn at the back of the I catched the ball at the back of the end zone and the fans was right there, and I just saw the popcorn. You know, you see the picture with me, and then obviously the most probably talked about me going to the Star. Yeah, but I mean, man, you can you imagine. Oh man, I'm telling you imagine if you put that up, if you had Instagram and you had Twitter back, I'm telling you got that thy got ten million lives. So you think Kim Kardashian breaking the internet, Man, it wouldn't. It would be m it'll be It'll be something awful. A few months back, one of your best friends did celebrity box and we've seen Nate Robinson do it. You sure he did it? Well? Okay, tempted? Yeah heif Nate Robinson, Chad Ochosinko, you and Oosinko very good friends. Have you thought about doing a celebrity boxing mat, Well, let's just talk about his performance. Okay, let's talk about his performance. I commended him on what he did right, and honestly, like I was, I wasn't nervous too nervous. I just didn't want him to go in there and not take it serious. Right, Oh yeah, cause you get hurt because I know, I know how he is, and I know he's a showman, right, you know what I mean? And he was he was he was going against a bare knuckle right fighter. But he's going to get somebody to actually fight. He ain't no celebrity, celebrity celebrity right. Yeah. So I you know, when I went to to to the arena and I saw him, and as soon as I saw him, I'm like, okay, this is for real, right, So I went in there. I went in the arena and I was like, man, I was about to go ahead, about to do this. Yeah, And so I went to went to the dressing room and I saw him. He was not hitting the back. This is real now I'm talking about it got me kind of like oh, So I was like, man, this is real. So when I when I saw him, I said, hey, first thing I told I said, yo, respect the sport. Owe you out of obvious that way, because I wanted When I was driving down there, I'm like, well, what can I say? You know what I mean that he hasn't heard from anybody. That was the thing that came to my respect the sport because I'm like, man, I remember what Nate Robinson did, Like we saw what boxers that has. You know that the beating and everything that even even some of the best boxers, right, make one mistake and it's curtains. So obviously you don't know all the entrings, but you know, you throw the point, get your hands back up. You know a lot of people keep the hands down, right. Yeah, So that that was the first thing in But I had confidence because I know Chad has been training dif stuff, but not to the point of Okay, he's really getting in right. So, like I said, that was my first words to him was like, respect the sport and and so man he did. He did a tremendous job. Went four rounds and uh he got grazed a little bit, but he got right back up. But you know, talking to that was the hardest, the toughest eight minutes of his life because you gotta be in tip top, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The people don't understand because when I first got out here, I did some you know, did some boxing. I didn't spire anything like that, but just hitting the mits hitting the bag, you know, just it's like a full body work. It's like swimming on that because the first thing when you get tired, you dropped, dropping your hands and get all of this is exposed. All this right here is exposed. And if you got somebody that's in shape that condition, oh boy, then you just this is canvas. This is canvas, and they the paint pure. You start breathing, You start breathing. Have you start breathing out your mob your mouth open, and then the jaws loose and then boom there you go, face down. Right, But I get I get you. He didn't great. I've talked about you what you gonna do? So so I think maybe a week or so after that, I'm I'm at at home. I get a text it's about I'm in Florida about about eleven o'clock at night. It's Brandon Marshall. Yeah, the one that wants to race me too. So he texts me out of the blue and he goes, yo, dude, you want to fight me for two million dollars? And I'm thinking just joking, right, So my response is because he already gone backed out of two races, right, And I'm sorry I'm not really taking him serious at this point. So my response to him, Shanning, I said, I knocked your ass out for extra two millions. And I was that serious based on the other stuff because he didn't had me training the race and all this other stuff and keep keep backing out putting money up this and and the other. So that was my response, Brod, I knocked your ass out for extra two many. He go, no, no no, no, I'm serious. I'm sitting here, I'm talking with the CEO of Trailler and he was like, I said, he said, you want to do it or not? I said, I said, you know why, I am asked you if you're serious, I said, just let me know. He so he said, we're thinking about doing it in November. So long story short. I haven't heard from him since. But you know, but b Marsh box for real though. But I'm not finna just trained. I've already been training and doing all this other stuff and he ain't. But you gotta go get a real boxing trainer. On the people that trained Chad, they because that's the first thing that people wouldsk They were asking me. When I would ringside, I had people asking tell you next, you next? And then I had one guy that's like, Yo, this is gonna be fun. There's like, uh, if you had to fight, and who who would you? Who? Who would you? Who would you? Who would you want to fight? I said Donovan McNabb And I'm dead serious, Shanna, I'll knock him out because it would be so much been so you know I were going there, I know I'll be controlled, It'll be controlled, angry. I'd be like a I'd be like a Navy seal. I'd be a Navy seal because you know they cool coming under all conditions. But there would be a fire burning inside of me. So you literally trying to knock the man out clean. I knocked chunky suit from him from from from two thousand four. Trust me, all the hard ache, all the hard ache and all the stuff that I don't went through being a nice and it's me trying to be the nice guy. That's me being a nice. I know you, and I know you Dad, Dad, and serious, Shannon, I promise you, and I know like going in there, you can't just go in there and just recons bread. You gotta be you gotta be strategic y, you gotta be strategic everything into something. But trust me, bleeve me you that would be my intent. Man, you're gonna take you take this seriously when you play football, absolutely, because I ain't even football really was was a hobby, right. Just think if I would have prioritized that, if that was if I was like Jerry growing up and wanting to play play football. This like, yeah, give me the proper training, like I talked to it. You know his uh somebody his training. He's like, yo, if you're really seriously, just let me know. So you know, I said, it hasn't come up. I'm not going to just do no unnecessary, but I made you start taking some lessons just to kind of familiarize, familiarize myself because somebody like me, bro, i'd be like Roy Jones. I'd be like Roy Jones. I'd be entertaining. But you gotta be smarter than that too. It says absolutely, trust me, you know what to do.
