Listen, Man, so much to get to, but we got to get here, right short. Listen, Man, you know what I'm saying. I had a crazy story a couple weeks ago, a wager between you two. You know what I'm saying, a little off the court activities, shout out to D Jack. We love to hear that story from your point of view. Man, te you just talking about a little bit, but you know what I'm saying. It was the facility in that situation. We have love to hear how that situation took place.

Man, Man, you know, uh, first of all, shot DJ D Jack Jack Pott. My Pott is still to this day. But you know at the time, Bibby was on the team correct and you know t wasn't really getting a whole lot of minutes, you know what I'm saying. On the team. You know, he played here and there and sometimes he didn't play. So uh, you know, Dja is probably kind of still upset about this situation. I'm saying how transpired. So it's okay, you know what I'm saying, Like you said, get well soon. But you know, I'm super hospitable, so when you come to Atlanta, it's like really in the hospitality when you my pottn you know what I'm saying. So as a you know, as a he was a football player. So when he came to Atlanta, I had an I used to have a condo. Uh so it was over there by Linux. I'm not gonna say the address, you know what I'm saying, but recipes my homeboy, Bill to Rivers stay over there. So you know, when he came in town, I give him a uh you know, I give him a car and he could stay over there with his homeboys. It was like a three little three bedroom, little little condo. So uh, he would come over. He would come over like doing Uh what is it like bye weeks off season stuff. So you know, he came to a game, you know, so he said he's sitting course, you know, you know I gave tickets. He looking at he looking at team not playing. So you know, he just probably eyeball in the last couple of guys like in his mind, like the last guys like that that ain't really playing. Like He's like, well, I got team. So I'm like, no, the fuck you don't, bro, you know what I'm saying. So I'm telling him, I'm like, no, the hell you don't. Like you don't you can't beat this nigga. You know what I'm saying, Like, man, men gonna drag gas. You know what I'm saying. So I'm basically taking up for my teammate. You know what I'm saying. You my brother, You my partner. You know what I'm saying. You are my family. But you know, at this time, T is like my my, my, my rookie. You know what I'm saying. It's like my rook my young guy molding him to the game. So I'm like, hell, nah, you know what I'm saying.

So he like, mack.

Sh you want to get this at this at this point, it's like, okay, you want to get away free money, Like this is free money. It's just like football, like you catch it, you catch a little nigga and it's prime that ain't playing. He might have just made a fifty man roster or something like that, whatever it is. And I'm sitting back like, man, why he don't never play? He's Jersey stay clean, five four out of five on him. Uh, it's a dB like a wide receive. If I can school man, he's gonna be like, man, let's line it up. Then, you know what I'm saying, Okay, you want to hand out free money. And then what people don't understand is right in today's society. In today's world, a lot of these guys don't gamble, you know what I'm saying, So, which is respectable? You know what I'm saying. You know, it causes a lot of friction. Uh. You know a lot of people don't want to pay sometimes when they see them different tabs going out, so you know, like so they try to avoid that type of uh atmosphere. You know what I'm saying, which is okay, well we do gamble, I have to cut you off.

We gambled with draft kicks saying.

But what I'm saying, like, you know, like back in the day before what is it called draft king? Okay, drafted Okay? So what else? So before all that, we was really gambling, you know what I'm saying. Like he was like bringing in and he was bringing your hand in hand, comment, hand in hand combat, you know what I'm saying. So so like hey, look from other from look, he understands this stuff. So it was it was times where Recipes shot it low. It was it was like you know, he had he had he had a squad where he you know, he gambled and you know what I'm saying, and he came in town. See, he can't really be mad at this situation because it was another situation when shot when they was playing video games, you know what I'm saying. And he was like, man, I'm finela, I'm fineling, I'm finna, I'm finna. Gamble shot it low, I'm fine, I'm fine. Gamble shot a load on him and and two came out. I'm like, don't do it. I'm telling his ad like because he's my partner. Yeah, I'm like, look, man, them folks, them folks, them folks got there they got they got a nigga got there right in the nation. You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying out his business. So he like, no, we got a lie right cool ship. So the next day I come over to the spot. It's quieting. The motherfucker got he on the laptop. You have the wire. You know what I'm saying, Because you know that's another little little incident. I was like, look, don't do it. You know what I'm saying. But you know, hey, he can't be mad at this situation for me wanting to get free money. Like at the end of the day, the ship, it didn't go down, So no one needs to be mad at no scenario. It wasn't. It was just a scenario that happened. You backed out, which was the smart thing to do. Yeah, you know what I'm saying, because somebody probably called your phone like hey, look man, chill out. You know what I'm saying. I know, I know that's what probably really happened. Like, nah, for sure, you did your research was crashing out, did your research on the big shirt, the big shirt wake for his team. You know what I'm saying that what happened you you got in your bag on that Google. You know what I'm saying, So don't do that.

Nigga said, now there mind, I'm cool because he crashed out with Meek Meal two when he had his artist versus Meek Meal artists. Peter Youngster that I forgot his name, but yeah, I remember was at the pool.

That's another dude that you played with. Your man's in them. Yeah, it ship ship different, but we we loved the jet all you're a man, a man, not for real, real man. That's funny. Man. It was just you know, it was a funny story, you know, and you know that's that's just you know, it is what it was.

Shout out the d jack Man, shout out DJ. Hey Man, it's dope to see the growth of both of you. Obviously you're in the past to coach Alma Mater.

You know what I'm saying. You can talk on YouTube crazy right in that games. Now you gotta do stuff my Mike you love so Yeah, we get it. You don't have to though you new TM jail wire. You good. You know what I'm saying. Something that was at the gate. I'm trying to you feel light the castle for sure. Like we said a year full circle moment. Man.

Obviously you've been on him since he was a rook he being a head coach Alma Mater.

You know what I'm saying.

You had no dad dudes as a coach, especially to ADU programs. How was that transition? Like, you know what I'm saying, because you got to talked about the daddy life. You got you know what I'm saying. Short of going to college. Now, got your kids in the program growing up for you. You know what I'm saying, Pipe gett into it. How is that a year later for.

Both of y'all, especially to see him being a head coach. I mean, uh, it's it's just our transition, you know. It just shows shows the world that we still love the game of basketball and uh, and we're willing to pass pass on pretty much free information. If he's a if he's a head coach at the high school, it's damned near free information. It's like, this is what I keep telling the parents of my My, My My program. It's like where you want to get your kids too? If you want to get him to the NBA, okay, cool, If you want to get to the NBA, it's like answers to a test, you know what I'm saying. Like we have the answers to the test. So it's like you're you you want to take a test blindly, not not dealing with guys like me and team you get what I'm saying, or guys like Rajon Rondo and other guys like that. You know what I'm saying. So if it's guys that are willing to come down and really basically give you. It's not it's like it's costing us more to be in a situation dealing with your kids and surrounding and putting putting them down on different information. Because it's not only about showing them the extras and nose and showing them how to be a basketball player when they're around us, We're showing them how to be men too, you know what I'm saying, Like how to carry them said, how to carry themselves because that shit matters too, you know what I'm saying. If you, if you, if you listen to a lot of these pro athletes that are on these on these platforms, they'll tell you that the guys that are that were in their class, that were the coders, they didn't make it, you know what I'm saying, And they're the ones that made it. So what is that telling you? What is that telling you? Like they was telling me that team brother was better than him, I was I'm trying to you know what i mean. So I'm like, you know, he's he's a he's a great player, you know what I'm saying. But you know, like those are big shoes to feel when you get talking talking different comparisons with guys that are ahead of you in life. You know what I'm saying, Like, I got three sons, so I don't want I don't want nobody say Okay, oh Jed is better than Josh because it's like shit, not Josh is like man, you got me fucked up. You know what I'm saying, like real talk like, but it is not. It's not like I know, like when you when we get when you get to that stage when you have different sons, you teach them to let them know that they're not competing with each other as well. Well.

It's kind of like a healthy thing though, because Mama, people will say, like your brother is better, I'm shit cool, if he better than me.

We're about to be stranged. That's like that's what.

Yeah, I'm like, lord, because because people don't understand the pressure that that like every year like a guy that makes it pass.

I'm gonna say, six seven years in the league. You gotta respect that. You gotta respect that God, because man, they printing and knew him every year. That's a fact they're printing and knew him like that, Like that's what That's what people got to understand, Like once they find find out that you have something different. They're trying to find you in another person because they know that they have to drop the bag on you and they don't want to do it, you know what I'm saying. That's why, like just like Denver, never be the same, you know what I'm saying, And that's because you you lose guys like Coentavious Kywell Pope, you know what I'm saying, Like guys that can still play another eight years in this league at the pace that he's playing, because all you're asking him to do is be a three and D and he could be more. He's more capable player, but if you if you ask him to do that, that creates more longevity in his career, you know what I'm saying. So it's like it's kind of it's kind of hard to and he's a hell of.

A floor spacer, so like, but they ruined that because, like you said, they think they can find that in somebody.

Absolutely that if Okay, this the league is a copycat league, you know what I'm saying, which is probably like the NFL MLB two. Once they find out a guy a team won NBA championship, that's the norm. Until they find out it's only one Steph Curry, It's only fucking won Klay Thompson, you know what I'm saying. So it's like when the win the championship on how you gonna win? You know what I'm saying. When I like so it just if they didn't learn that ship from the Lakers, you know what I'm saying. And they when they had brought the d White and JaVale McGee in there and they've seen that they needed those two guys in order to defeat the Kolokic, then they wanted they won a championship. They felt like, okay, we we got we could just we could just get like two stale bigs in their eyes like that can just rebound that we can we can basically make you know, we can make puppets and we can get it done again. Pay these guys. We gotta pay these guys, young guys. They can do the same thing I wanted.

To ask you, like you had an Anthony Edwards for the people that don't know a lot of young age, how does the field bro to see him where he at right now?

Like man, they feel amazing, man, you had him as on the court. Yeah, I mean, I mean I caught him, uh like you know, kind of his senior year in high school. But it was like, you know, it's a lot of it was a lot of hats in in the pot, you know what I'm saying. A lot of hands in that pot, you know what I'm saying. So when I got to him, I knew Dad. You know, all I could do was basically give him the information of of like what he was facing, what he's about to face, you know what I'm saying. Like it was just like from the standpoint of you know, like, bro, you're gonna be one of the faces of the NBA, you know what I'm saying, Like X, Y and Z, like this is how you gotta handle it this because you know, he wanted them trench babies. See what people understand us. What people understand is like he can really have a he can really like make some money off of his story. He got a hell of a story. Like I think his mom passed away when he was like thirteen fourteen years old. Father really never never been around, and then and then like you know, his sister and his brother had to raise him. And then you gotta imagine they was like eighteen nineteen years old, so he's he's thirteen. So the decision that he's making in life, you can't fault him for it because he's figuring out the ship pretty much on his own, you know what I'm saying. Like, you know, I know he's he's been going viral and a lot of like different things and it's off the court life. But yeah, you can't fault him, you know what I'm saying, Like the man, the man is really like figuring out how to be a man on his own. How did you How did you discover him? Though? Like how he come across your past? Uh? You know, like the NBA. Like I said, I wanted to get into coaching. I know, you say, you you you're a high school coach. I'm a I'm an AU coach, and you know, I want to do I want to do college and pros. But right now I'm cool with this. So'm I got a couple of guys that are really special right now, so I want to I want to kind of like lock in with that. But I was at the top one hundred camp, you know that, you know, So I was at the top one hundred camp and then he was like I want to say, a sophomore going to be a junior, and he just destroyed the camp like he he was from Atlanta. He he looked like the best kid there, like guys that was like already seniors and all that. And then that's when that summer, that's when he got that traction. So that that's when he uh reclassified up. So when he reclassified up, people don't know that. Yeah, a lot of peoples moved up. He moved up. I don't know if he reclassified back. You know, you'll never see a seventeen you highlight for Cooper flag. He was kicking niggas asses, don't get it twisted. So I didn't know that. Yeah, so so so yeah, so so you know, he reclassified up off of the you know, the traction he gained from that summer because he destroyed the summer. Yeah, and he reclassified up. And then he went to a school right down street from my house. And I was just basically kind of like give him information on what to expect future wise, because I'm always thinking like five years, ten years head of a curve, Like that's my problem, Like I'm not always living in the moment, you know what I'm saying, I'm always thinking about what's next, What's next? You know what I'm saying, ten years, you know what I'm saying, five ten years, I'm always thinking. That's how I think, That's how I break down life, you know what I'm saying. Like I know, like you know, Yolo and all that stuff. But it's like, hey, man, look I get it, you know what I'm saying. But I'm trying to live for tomorrow just in case it happens. You know what I'm saying. I'm that type of individual. So I was, you know, I was just kind of you know, putting them down on the information, and uh, he's a guy that's thriving right now. I knew that he was gonna be one of the faces of the n b A. What people don't understand is, uh, what people don't know is he was committed to Florida State, and I kind of let him understand the importance of going to Georgia around his family. You know what I'm saying, you need to stay locked in. I didn't get a dime from that, you know what I'm saying. I'm a Georgia fan, So I kind of like legendly, no, no, no, No, this is a fact. I ain't gonna never take no lie. If I'm lying, I'm flying, you know what I'm saying, liking at that. You know, I'm standing this ship. I'm staying this ship. You know what I'm saying. So yeah, you know you know what I'm saying. That's what really happened, you know. So I just wanted to see the the Georgia basketball organization get back on their feet. So they back, they're back to being on something that can brag about now. But doing what he did was he did some trail blazer and ship. So a lot of people are known for going to different organizations and uh, different schools because of the name, but you know, he did the right thing.

Yeah, I just wanted you to speak on that because you was a big staple in his career, like his career path bro, so for sure, and.

Some interesting you said.

You said, always living in the moment, think about what's coming next, and even though people have their feelings about it, but you always ad just like you said, all right, if I'm playing the sea going forward, I gotta be able to stretch the floor.

And that's what he always talked about earlier. That's why I'm telling him team was going to guard. So that's what people don't understand. That's why he just had to get on his ass. You know what I'm saying, mano back because he was added the ass guard. So once I look, I was setting the screen to get me the ball. But you know what I'm saying, so like slip out, Hell no, look, I'm finel. Look I used to mean brother gets headed up. Watch how Draymond Green said screens? That's how you said scream? Then they're illegal. Every screen was down the illegal. I'm moving into some ship. Josh trun get that pill by wanting to pill ball double what a team? Can you contest that ninety percent of the offense was ran through Joe Johnson? Oh definitely all right there. So then so then you gotta understand seven percent was was was our Warford? You know what I'm saying. That means it was like a little bit left three percent I need that? No, was that it ain't needed. It's like ship, how can I get this ship? That me You know what I'm saying, Jamal too, that's you know what I'm saying. So we already knew when Jamal came in he cutting the percentage in half. You know what I'm saying, he said, I already scanned the room, scanned it, scanned the ring, and you folk got no hooper, No, I take the shots. I'm shooting shots.

How you feel about like the young generation growing up you in the AU world now, Like do you think it's like a I don't know, like a gap between like the n B A and the youngsters like so far as like the where they learned it from the learning curve.

Absolutely, it's alot of bad basketball, man. Yeah, it's alot of bad basketball. And my son coffee. Yeah, it's a lot of It's a lot of bad basketball man, and and too overcompensate the bad basketball. Parents are reclassifying their kids thinking that that is the answer, you know what I'm saying. And then what they don't understand is is that it's an oversaturation and kids working your kids out trainers. You know what I'm saying. I don't know if I spoke on this. The gift and the curse is that the trainer is available. You know what I'm saying. The curse is is is it translating? Is what I'm showing your kids translating to the court you know what I'm saying, because in reality, all of these trainers are training these kids to overdribble and they can't like I swear, like, I bet he could go to his practice and it's no more ones than twos, no more like I like. I went to my son practice and I loved, I like, I love the like, I love the decision that I made and taking him to this school and he's developing because the coach is so detailed. But it's sad because it's sad because he's happening to go to seven and saying twos and threes instead of ones and twos because you motherfuckers can't go to my too music dribbling their motherfucking life away, they fucking life away, and then they can't shoot threes, and then you know, because they can't shoot threes, and then when they get to the to the to the whole, they can't they can't make layups. So it's like it's like it's showing the kid, like, damn, I really need to work on my game. Y'all doing work now. Now I'm gonna put you like the reclass situation. It's only it only works middle school, elementary school. So now you like, come on, let's be let's be honest. Like I got an eyebro, like you got an eye to So you know what these you know what these you know what these recruiters are looking at. You know what these scouts are looking at. What's your mom and daddy? How you look? Like? Why you holding these kids back? And you know these motherfuckers gonna be five? Five? You not even all got damn six in this real game? Where's the six? And girls? You know what I'm saying. You can't get there, You can't he can't get you can't get the D one crash outs. So we're trying to figure it out. Man, So what's the okay?

So I got you like, So say you got a six four twelve year old, are you going to reclassify him lower?

Hell no. If he's sad though, if he fucking jumping that deep end, jumping that deep end and learn how to swim, give him the game you want to. You want to always play the shallow end. Females don't like niggas had to play in the shallow end, slashing it to swim or not. I just want you to get his job. I want I want you to get saying though, Man, you're gonna jump in the deep end or not, Like you gotta learn how to swim. That's an analogy. Don't don't get too far deep into what I just said on some freaking ship. Just yeah, think about what we're talking about. Basketball. We're talking about basketball. It's like my son now right, he's six five here in the tenth grade. That man was like Bambi legs like it was like Banby, Like it was like raising Bambie. Like it was like I had to create real patience in my life. I'm like, damn, do he really wanted to play basketball? But he wanted to play He just wasn't me at the time. Like you know what I'm saying, all of them, like our kids are different. You know what I'm saying. They raised different, They're there, they come from different like circumstances. So it's a different type of feel like them wyans popping the ship. Hey nigga, man, my daddy put me up right now, And which was what man, Hey, hey, hey hey dad, hey dad, man put pull up in that goddamn motherfucker. Motherfucker. Yeah the may bag, Yeah, pull up in that. Yeah, come on, man, Like so it's like, yo, yo, your son man pull one of man.

Man. Look Atlanta, man don't play with.

So he haven't reached baby. So it's like at this point, you know, they popping it different, you know what I'm saying. So you gotta you gotta kind of real it in, you know a little bit and let him know that you you know, you still want to raise a you know, a humble individual, but you know it's kind of hard because it's like, man, how can you raise a humble individual when number one, he has your blood in you? So imagine when you didn't have nothing, you still were popping it. You know what I'm saying. You still was popping when you had nothing. Now this is like a two point over you you know what I'm saying, and he haven't. Yeah, so you know, listen, we're gonna talk about Detroit.

I asked both of y'all this question. Shout to my dog j G for asking me this. Y'all remember the time with Woody shafe his brow and trying to.

Yeah, yes, yes, you remember that we used to rip his See, people don't used to know we used to rip his ripped that we used, ripped that drafted off that drafting off. Wait what man had a drapp used to have the dry fed shirts. He used to break that thing down. That mother. Yeah Austin powers. Look what he had. What he got that Austin Powers. He got that ship. Hey man, you've been bringing ship know hey man? Indiana, Yeah, Shiana man, I was supposed to go there, you know the n il Man. It was just it wasn't. It wasn't the same. It wasn't the same. It wasn't. He had had no he had the little hawks hawks drip fed. He was whichever sponsored it, and I was like it rip that thing just off. He used the leading practice looking like all right. It was like a text like all right, y'all, stop ripping the coach. I'm like ship I did look like what happened with Brown, they say shaved off it. And he tried to put the fake with What's happened was he he was he a cigar smoker, you know what I'm saying. So what happened was he had one of the flame cigars. So he bent down and then he tried to, like you feel me, He tried to hit the he tried to hit the flame and it just went it went crazy and caught one of them. He caught one of them. Boom, blew it off. The flame blew it off right, So then he couldn't go. He couldn't go with the one. He couldn't go, you know what I'm saying. So he had to steve. So then you know, I got a sense of human you know what I'm saying. So what I did was I cut the veil crow. You know what I'm saying. We're gonna We're gonna just put the veil crow on. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. Like, but the technology is so bad the picture up, you know what I'm saying. Because I think it was flip. Well we just started getting from flip to the real. It was just bad for him, bad time for us. But our stories are amazing though. I love our stories because it's like, imagine it now we're talking. We had on the show. He was talking about how you and him, Mo God, truth is funny, bro. He is the definition of a frugal nigga. That nigga did not that nigga. Man said, Bro, I gotta see it. You'd this out of that now? Okay, look man, he was so broke he let it. I mean he's so cheap now broke. He was cheap at the time. Yeah, he had he let that girl go into t pain music video Atlanta fucked up. I'm gonna buy you a drink give going on the movie. You know, man, what was the fucking music video? What was the music? Shout? At the moment I had said, I said, ship that by you the drinking We're gonna give you. We're gonna get you drinks. I'm gonna take you. That was the one that would the one that one nigga was cheap nigga man for Williason Walker to Popp he had the Williason Wallas amazing coming the mother with the wide bodies. Motherfucker. I used to with her because he had on mustang. I'm like, man like, he joked, all, I can'tnot trust the nigga without It's like, it's like the comic the comic nigga, what the is your I can't play too much.

I was telling the man I used to throw paper and ship at Woody why he was like doing the pregame speech and ship and.

I was like, oh, man, I used to do a little something with these stories. Man. You you the stories that you that you put. I watched this ship every day. You know what I'm saying, I'm like Jackson, that feel Jackson, Yes, that was that was probably my problem. I'm gonna play for nigga, man, but I'm a loyal nigga though, you know what I'm saying, So like teammate wise, I'm gonna be a hell of a teammate. I might I might talk some ship now a little bit. But like when T was, when T was my when he was young, I bought him some suits, remember Wayne Nigga, the five six suits. You know what I'm saying, Like, bought me a g shot. I saw shot. We'll go to uh, We'll go places wherever we travel, will catch some lunch. You know what I'm saying. We'll chop it up like I was just you know what I'm saying. I don't know. Like Antoine Walker was my veteran. You know what I'm saying, Walker, So shout out to him. Man, he showed you the ropes man. He showed me the roast man. He showed me what to do and what not to do.

What's crazy is like he was my vet. But I ain't realize niggas like only two years older than me.

I used to be like, like, come on your fellow one day, like, yeah, I'm twenty thirty. You already did that four years in the league he was. We did the same. I'm like the hell no, like big brother, little bro, we gonna argue all the time. I'll be like that. It was definitely arguing. You gravitate towards team though, like because he was he was our point guard in the future and shot to Bibby. I love Bibby, but I just knew like he was more like other of the little nigga I needed, you know what I'm saying, because he's gonna play a little defense. He's gonna pop his ship at the beginning. In the beginning, Yeah you know you gotta you gotta get you gotta look you got the only script is the only scripting is you gotta a man? All that script, ship, all that it was playing the old nigga. I'm look, man, what you want me to what role you need? Look, man, I'm starting in this movie and I need to play the hell of a role. If I don't play this role, man, it's another nigga that can play this role. Like, it's not about you think you think somebody is gonna play that loan that much basketball to think, oh, they're gonna hand you a script when you get when you when you get dragged. All right, now, look this is how it's gonna go for the next five years. No ship. Either you're gonna fall into this role of this team. That's that's the point, Grass, or you're gonna fall into this role. It's simple. Yeah, a lot.

But I appreciate you because you ain't fall into the role like you be like fuck that ship.

Yeah, I definitely did, man, But that's what that's why I'm thirteen thirteen years now, that's a killer. I'm thankful that I played thirteen years. But you know, like I knew that I had something that they needed. You know what I'm saying, I just didn't have Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. They could just shoot the leather off. That motherfucker liked a nigga that can get to the paint, dunk on the nigga like t the straps play some defense and niggas playing defense.

When he was young, he was playing you know what I'm saying, nigga, you know want for the holes.

But he was the show. He wanted to show. You know, he wanted the show man. He never wanted the whole. He wanted to show I'm telling you no, no, that ship gonna come all that ship gonna come on the back end. But his necessity was how do I get baby out of this motherfucker. You don't want to play defense because look we said, look, we said, we was talking ship, bro, Like we used to watch him talk ship on the plane and niggas like, man, god, damn Bibby gonna play defense today. Bibby was like, ship that didn't bring me here the wild down with my defense. He said, they brought me here to shoot, said ship, Josh, give my bag. I'm like, damn b all right, Bro, who was yo? We didn't get to ask you that when we first had the O G episode. Who was yo?

Like person that grabbed you, Like, nah, nigga, I'm gonna bring you in and.

Show you how to do this ship for real? Baby, my baby. Man, Like when I got when I got snubbed a couple of times for the All Star game, man, he was like, man, fuck that ship, Josh, because I thought he made the All Star. One time he was like, I ain't making the All Star. He was like, man, fuck that ship, Josh. He was like, as long as they pay you like all Star, that's what matters, right up. So that's what matters. He said, Ship do that ship. That's gonna make them pay you like all Star. So I'm like, I got you. You know what I'm saying. I got you. And then it was other little things you know what I'm saying. They used to tell me, and you know, I was I was a you know, I was kind of stubborn sometimes, but there was certain people that would like I'm a sponge. I'm still a sponge to this day. Like I want to learn. I want to learn new things. I want to learn every like everything on how to like do everything the right way. So I used to listen to him and Mike Baby probably was the first one Antoine Walker. He was like half of my rookie year, so I can't give him that credit. It got to be Mike Baby.

Bibby was one of the best people used to be around, like even with me, like I had to pick him up on through the Lucky Lounge and ship.

That was my guy.

But y'all all took me in. That's why I loved y'allone. That's why I wanted to always interview everybody that was on that team. I used to bring me in even like you when you'll popcorn my car and ship.

That nigga ass that was not doing crazy love but he was not. But he's not. I but you know how you know it's like a nigga that got a son, that got that fucking fluffy ass there. I can't wait until you do something. I'm gonna cut that. I can't wait. You distract me mother.

Two years older than me, two or three years older. So when he talked to me, he like, make sure you had him donuts tomorrow.

Nigga. I'm like, the fuck nigga? Can I tell you what my job was ahead? All Right? I couldn't go to no clubs. You know what I'm saying. Like, I couldn't go to no clubs, so I had to have the k y jelly in the conners. You know what I'm saying. That was my job making the day. This little nigga can't go nowhere. Look, it's so boom, it's three four in the morning everywhere we go. I mean that motherfucker was snoring. Yeah, they like, hey, man, bring ass. So I'm like, God, I'm getting the crust our eyes like coming that motherfucker Like here man, boom, you know what I'm saying. Like sometimes they'll let the girl answer the those grady ship, but NIGGI sometimes I'm telling you, man, this ship man, Man, look man, the stories of like this is the light brow like, man, look man, look man, the wearing chairs worthy you know, man, what are we doing?

Like, come on, man, speaking of the letters that we got to talk about. Man, how you got Ivan Johnson on the team?

Man? Even though the team let him go, he was one of the reasons why he was still letting afford the real for the real football. Look, man, the letter. That's why you said that real ship. I even I love my nigga tem to the core. I swear to God. Even Johnson is the original zero. He made zero. You know, he made zero. He made zero. Even Johnson is the reason why I bought my first challenge. Yeah, that's a fact I swore to got. He might be the first one that got there, you know, to start the training though, yes, the first the first one crash national plus d one Noah, but give us the game on how you like him saved his career though started really Yeah. It was like, well, people don't know we had we had a guy like named Mario West and uh six was like talking to him greasy. This nigga had a goosenik jumping like it was like one. It was crazy like it was like, so we was like, uh, he had a hell of a camp. So it's always like when you go to camp, it's always like one dude that's gonna make the team, that's not on the team. It depends on how he handles it, how well he plays, when his numbers, when his name is called, uh, different things, you know what I'm saying. So he fit all the molds like they like Mario fit all the modes. It was a great, great teammate, like play hard, defensively, all these things. So that's why he made it, you know what I'm saying. Like Alva Johnston was the total opposite. This nigga was just a good basketball player. I never I never knew a nigga. I never knew niggas existed at San Antonio. To make this nigga, you know what I'm saying. I was like, oh, there's some hood in San Antonio. Sure, because he was the first nigga that that came into league with a grill. And and when I tell you, he was tearing niggas asked up in the camp. He was tearing niggas asks up. Niggas was scared. Nigga was drooling like you know, you know, like you want a nigga that like, come on, bro, this is the last five. How mad do you want? They've got them phone in the mouth for this last ship. You know what I mean an elbow defense. So I'm like, but we gotta have this dude, we gotta have this guy. So they cut because they was like kind of kind here for the nigga, you know what I'm saying. Like so I'm like a lot of ship, like I got I got got jo, you know what I'm saying.

He don't know.

I just want try to sign this nigga. You know, this is your responsibility. Nigga talking about kids. This niggas a crash out, a d one. It was like he was a D one crash What school he went to? That's what school he went to. D one crash out. You never may not gonna make it. He came showed up. I said, oh, ship, but showed up anyway, like I'm here.

And SMO was like, now he supposed to make the team Bron with that man, he was like, nah, he killed Bro.

He supposed to be honest team. Then when he got on the team, was you on the plane with Jason Collins? Was it? No? Not Jason got John John? Was it? Who's on our team? Oh my god, the one of the twins, the twins, Yes, Jason, Jason, Jason, you remember Jason was like, he googled the niggas Jason from Like he said, so you know, he like professional White University. They're gonna google, so we need he googled. He google his Google. Yeah, he knocked the out. Do you see this? He's bad from Japan, He's bad from Eual. He's a bath from Neual League. He's like like, bro, chill out, Bron. You got that jump on yeah NBA? Yeah yeah, like knocked the rest out of them ship. I remember that the.

I took a little bit back to your mom. Brother. Now we were just talking off camera.

But my dog Smooth when I first got to the A, so I had my press conference and I came back like a week later, and then all the guys is kind of around that time, Smooth came up to me. And I was hanging out with Marvin at this time, and Smooth came to me. He like, hey, Man, what you're gonna do? Man, that's what she's talking about. It was like, Man, I'm from here, Man, I know.

Fuk going on? Bro, Like you know, I couldn't really understand it from the like you're doing. I'm like he like look, you you're doing wrong ship. Man, you're doing have me tonight? MA was kind of pie you know what you know, Pie Lane shouting to Mark. You know what I'm saying, shouting the Mark? It really like that. You know, nor can I whooped them? They don't. They went on to whoop that baby. Yeah, it's like to come here like, hey man, look, this is a players league. You know what I'm saying, Like you go from coaches league to players league. You know what I'm saying, Like college is the Coaches League. NB is a players league. So come on, man, Look, hey man, look you're hanging out with the wrong one. Man. You know what I'm saying, Like this this man, this man gonna show you. You know what I'm saying, Gonna say some cap show you how to read the book. You know what I'm saying. I'm trying to read these because we stepping into professionalist. Everybody's a professional, you know what I'm saying. Everybody is a professional product, the scammers, you know what I'm saying, To the women, to the financial violunce, to the agents, we're stepping into professionalism. Man, let me get you up to speed on this ship so you won't be out here looking crazy because you're a product of me. You know what I'm saying, You product of me. I ain't had you out here looking crazy.

Reship because I told him the story when I came in. It's my rookie year. I came in with a girl to the club. They put me to the side. You put your all around me. You said, listen, y'all feeling everybody know her. I said what he said, look around, everybody know her. I said, damn, we always have the last man. We're not even gonna talk about the teammate. We're not even gonna talk about the teammates. We're not even gonna discuss the teammates in this situation.

So my man's my man's so's it's levels everything so like. And this is what's wrong with these females today. Yea, these niggas is getting too much money too early. So it's like, you know, when I came in the league, it was it was, oh, heyt your young ass. You ain't got because it was the paper. You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying. It was the paper. So I'm like, I never knew, Oh you cute, But I can't for with you. It was it was, it was levels. So then boo, when I got to this level, Okay, I had access to you know what I'm saying. So it's like I understood, it ain't got shipped to do with me. I'm bigger than this ship, bigger than me. This ship is bigger than me, you know what I'm saying. So what what I wasn't gonna allow my nigga to do was that my pop lookiga a freak ship to shout out to freaking Mike. Look, you know what I mean. It's show are they got talking? Freaky? Yeah? Anyway, So so Jim walking, you know what I'm saying. Look, fucking bitch. You know what I'm saying, Cause fucking funky bitch, this is my man. Right, I'm gonna throw y ass under bus. Bitch you a speed bump? Yeah yeah, right that because I can't wait to have my man's looking like a player, because you're a player. Yeah you was a real player. Bro. Josh, we're here now. I know y'all were all over the place, this family talk. We're just rambling. We can bring it back together with with Mike no no, yeah yeah yeah, So what game? What game?

Do you have for the younger, the twenty two to twenty three year old getting two three hundred million, and he's dealing with the say he's in the because ain't no nigga you talk getting no Kushi rope. So but I'm talking about the younger getting three to me in l A Atlanta. What I'm just saying, those are the premiere.

You know, just stay focused, lock in, you know what I'm saying. Just lock in what I'm saying. Man, Yeah, keep the main thing, the main thing. Right when they want to talk about politics, you're that ship back into basketball, you know what I'm saying, Like, nobody cares about what your personal thoughts are. You know what I'm saying. And what I got to say about this mental health ship? Can I talk about it? Go crazy? Bro, stop admitting to that ship because they're gonna write your fucking ass off into it if you meant like, the only the only reason that a black kid that makes it to the NBA is mental health is because they're there because they're not. They're not there because of basketball. Be there because of basketball. You have mental health because people are walking past you, not asking for autograph or these females are not they're not accessible like they used to be, or the internet with your brain. You get what I'm saying. Yeah, So like that's that's mental that's that's where your mental health kicks. Saying that you're not really mental health. Lock in, lock back in, man, find your purpose. I mean, but some people deal with some traumas from like childhood and from basketball. How do you get that far? And then now it's mental health, like real people go through that stuff like real people go through Like I get it, Okay, if you've been molested, right, if you've been like certain things like you know, mama raised you, Daddy wasn't around, or vice versa, like I understand you don't that play a part, and like your life is a basketball player? How did you make it? I mean some people I'm saying, did you make it though? Some people are just really talented, But how did you make it? Though? It had had to be something to do with your mental make it? You know? How did you make it though? You know what? Some people who just make it off you to get David Johnson was definitely one of those guys that you're talking about, Like, Okay, it's like trauma, right, but he made it right, but different from making it and saying yeah, that's facts. Yeah, that's a lot of that's a lot of kids to this day that they're not staying.

It got to be like it got it could they could not be staying because it's something that might be affecting them off the court.

You know a lot of it is off the court, everybody. But I'm gonna tell you what's like. I'm gonna tell you what it is. These kids are not building their foundation from the ground up. They're building it from the top down. So when they make it and they're facing adversity, they can't they can't take the ship because people been stroking their fucking ego. They've been fucking in fifth and sixth grade. They've been letting them get away with little bullshit. They've been letting them get away with not fucking boxing the man out and not passing the ball. This teammate being a great teammate, playing a different role in because they double team and the nigga and they got to get off the ball. He's with that. You give what you give what I'm saying these kids, these new kids, like think about it, bros. Just like it's a new era. Of guys making money. It's a new era of guys quitting basketball. That's the fact. These niggas is twenty one years old, twenty two years old retiring from basketball. They got like they got cteam. Yeah.

Now it's been a lot of people retiring at the early age just because of like you said.

I'm telling you a little adversity. I'm telling you, bro, And then they want to blame it on other shit like no disrespect to that griff of kid. But you're talking about you want to follow Christ, Bro, you can do both. Stop stopping the cap. What's really the problem. You're going to see the bro? You can the church because I'm offerings, how you're paying ties and offer me. I used to do it at the strip club. You know you could do it. You could do it either way, man, you know.

But I think he faced a little adversity that he was never used to. Probably attended a lot more.

He was man, No man, he got drafted by Daddy and ship and nigga ain't Doc rivers as that nigga got damn made his ass earn that ship and then it sucked with him because it's dead. Then Doc Rivers Austin Rivers. But listen. First of all, he was no, no, no, no, Josh Rivers shout with him. It was cold in college, so he was cold in high school. He was cold in college. You ain't see game, okay, so what okay? Give me another one, Austin, Austin, give me another one. Don't stutter and give me on another line. Job and read that whole body. Give another one. That's why he went crazy. Give for That's why he went crazy another That's one of these games. We went crazy another game. Give me another one, Austin Rivers. I read his whole bottle. Give me another one. This is not fall twenty in the morning. This is five twenty after Austin Rivers. Give me another thing.

I do.

Give me another one. He didn't sting a dude, I got to give you another one. He says, you went to c. But that's why there's a lottery. Nigga's when asking Williams, he killed the whole a C C. Yeah, that nigga chat hit on the yamah s he got into a can say how he.

Killed no this year before he got everybody everybody. I'm just saying, I'm like Jeff team, Jeff killed a c C. Stop dispect team.

You c C. No, my nigga wasn't. But he focused was ragged. I'm talking Rivers. He went to a prestige and Duke University in wake Forest University.

No, listen, wait Force is a Christian school for sure. Yeah there Christian school Duke for sure. But Duke is way more premier than wake Force if we came in the trip.

Okay, so you're telling me all. You're telling me he had a bigger platform to do nothing. See that time. He ain't seeing it on this way he got drafted. He wasn't. It was because he wont has more support. No, let's be on my kids. I don't think he was better than the Rivers had more support than you had a big T shirt on that niggation cut off T shirt with him making T shirt, that nigga was like he was stugging that. Niggasdu like that. Niggas to think about it, Michael oron just shot shot shot we had got before you like y'all the shots that shirt. It wasn't like he had the big shirt now, y'all career it was the knuckleball. It was the knuckleball like it was just like shot the shout up, like because he had Okay, see he's doing good. He got a job there. But it's like it was the knuckleball. So it's just it's just about like so then when I he was there for you, right, so when I you gotta think about it. My whole mindset was I need a point guard. So like they drafted our Horford, I'm like, okay, cool, I need that nigga. You know what I'm saying. Boom, Chris Paul came into play. They drafted Sheldon Williams. You're not kidding this set. He was so fucked up about Candice. You know what I'm saying that we couldn't even get him focused on the game. You know what I'm saying. She had I knew there was that knew it was. He had the seven fifty. This when the BMWs came out, he drove the seven fifty to Tennessee and dropped and came back in the PT Cruiser. He gave He gave her the seven fifty. I'm like, damn, I said, damn, this nigga ain't locked in. You come back in the PT and Cannis on the other side. Now she a real one. She playing parate for it on the other side, not mad at it. Folk gotta rushing, I bet upside. He called as a motherfucker, tell you get out of here. We gotta talk about the Detroit days. Man, we didn't get to talk about the much last big payday? How was that playing in Detroit? Many, I had a hell of a rosters up here. Man, you had you big drum, you had Greg to Joe Dumars Man, what what was wrong with that picture? Was Jemmy funny as? What you laughing before he started? Man? I just remember when he left. So you got no smooth bro. Y'all don't know. He was like, man, I had a I had a bad conversation.

Club bro, and I'm like, damn, you're going to Detroit. He like, yeah, We're gonna fuck you up.

He had ksey P, he had some young niggas. He's like, we're gonna he ain't gonna be shipped. Who y'all got, who y'all got. I'm like, damn, I'm thinking, like, damn, you're right, man, around gonna be weak. I got up what I was ready though, because I was playing. I thought I was playing at four. You know what I'm saying it was like, nigga, you playing the three. I like, hold on playing the three and nine years, hold on about camp to twenty five. I'm like, damn, nigga, I'm two fifty. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. That niggas that nigga to me, we get to play the nigga smack us shut out, crying lassa, but we beat we beat this ship. I've been I like these nigga got ma in the three. I wanted to call me up so bad. I was like, man, I just want here because because that was my mass up. I'm like, now I got a three three man running off, screezing ship. I'm like, man, hold on, hold on, man beat this ship. I mean, I had a shitty ass game. Niggam nigga. I'm hot, nigga. I'm like, hold on. How did you feel th on Detroit though? Was you fucking with him or was you? I mean shout out to Joe Dumars like I said, Man, Damn, I wish I would have I mean, I love Joe Dumars, but I wish I would have listened to Danny Ferry. We had a meeting and they had just been shitting on me so much in Atlanta. I was like, man, I wanted a new start, you know what I'm saying. So that's what people don't understand, Like I took all the flag when we lost, Like it's Josh fault, you know what I'm saying, Like I ain't take I probably took by two three threes a game. They're like, these niggas taking ten threes. This was good about my career. It's gonna be a whole lot of niggas shooting fucking way worse than me because I ain't Steph Curry, Steph Curry, Steph Curry, Klay tossing and Klay tops. All these nigga shooting threes. They shooting motherfucking twenty five percent twenty four. I love it, So keep doing that shit. You know, they keep making my ship look better. So damn uh got you to start. Yeah, a new start I'm at. But they're like, man, you gotta lose, you got you gotta go to twenty five. I'm like, damn, nigga came in the league at fucking two ten, two fifteen. So I'm like, boom, this is my people don't understand this, my knife, You're in the league and this is what I had a career talk with Danny Fair. Danny Fair was like, this is before I left. We have a dinner. He's like, man, He's like, can you just give me one more year? Can you give me one year? Like I'm gonna make it right. I didn't know he was getting budd I'm like, no, man, I gotta get the fuck out of here, Like, ain't nobody taking up for me. Ain't nobody saying goddamn, like it's this, that and the third. I ain't never shit on the organization in the media. I'm just like, you know what I'm saying. So Boom, they say that ship like he like, all right, So I was about get traded in Milwaukee, so it never it didn't pan out. Boom. I played the rest of the year out. So then Boom, he knew I was gone because of the conversation I had with him right doing during the process. And I never came back to him like you know, I gotta change your heart. So then Joe Dumar's Boom I signed with. I signed with Detroit and it was like the worst winter in Detroit, Like it was like ship to the ceiling, like it was pouled up to the ceiling like snow. They was like shooting. I'm like, I'm calling, like is practice still going on? Like or do I gotta like? Is it cancel? They're like, hell, now, you gotta pull your ass up. I'm like, ship, who's gonna pick me up? Pick me up? Nigga, I'm driving twenty miles per hour into snow, scared as a motherfucker because you know, nigga, two inches, it's shut down. It's no more, it ain't no school, it ain't nothing going on. So I'm like, I'm like, man, what's like? So I finally got used to the snow and stuff like that. But Detroit was like a city that's like Indiana. It's like you want, you want to win, you know what I'm saying, because you know, the fans are passionate about sports, you know what I'm saying. And it's not a lot of states that are really passionate about like professional sports. You got you got collegiate sports like everybody. Because it's alumni. You got what you got North Dakota State in football, that's like they'll sell out their sell out arenas because it's a following because people went to school there. But basketball is like bandwagon. You know what I'm saying. Damn there. It's like if you if you got a if you a fan of NBA team, it's because you're from there, or you got a player, yeah, player, you know what I'm saying. And Detroit to play about their teams at all, not the man, not at all. I remember when I was playing, they had like when there was an opera heels, they had like tallies of like sold out like consecutives sold out arenas, you know what, like showed out games and it was like it got like two hundred and something. So like when I seen that, like when Chauncey Billison, then was there Ben Wilson and then was there. When I was playing and I seen it, I was like, man, I want to be a part of something like that, but it just never happened. But they deserve a winning team. Indiana deserves a winning team, you know what I mean? Like not seriously though, When you when you have like passionate fans, like guys want to talk like guys like on opposing teams, it's just like a player. It's like you hate to play against them, but you love to love him to be on your team. It's like certain cities like Boston, Utah, Indiana, Detroit. You know what I'm saying. Houston is one of the one of the one of the places. Golden State definitely. Yeah. Fact, So it's like Lakers at the.

I just me personally, I don't think Detroit probably need to move. Bro, Nah, they need to move, move out offer Hill.

That was I think. No, it's not them, it's it's I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell you a team that might need to move. Let me see. Let me think about Memphis. When I'm just saying, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say, I say either Charlotte because they fans ain't ship like even when it's easy, like you're gonna feel the pressure. I'm gonna say, like, Charlotte, give me a West Coast team. I'm gonna give your West Coast team too. I promise you don't give you one. Let me think Phoenix is good. But they just they felt that they like they're not really like they like it's like a retirement place. So like Phoenix is a retirement place, so they ain't really like it ain't a whole lot of fans. Phoenix fans like I'm gonna say either Phoenix, Phoenix, Charlotte or like from l A like from West Coast. I mean either Phoenix CPS. Get the thigs about it. Here. You see that that stadium, see baum in the real one though, So what you need to do is sell that stadium.

They got to go to Seattle, Seattle. Okay, see the funk out of here. Seattle deserves a team. Okay, it's crazy. We're going the team is crazy.

Okay, y'all stole that team from them. Okay, I'm telling you, bro, this this ship is crazy. They get they gave it to the wrong city because like, okay, see they got some real fans, so they're like, y'all ain't going at going to see get him a league, Homer City, Thunder the Fish give Charlotte league wanting like y'all do not want to? Like, come on, bro, like how many different how many different motherfucking mass Scots y'all gonna have? Y'all got the Mornings, y'all got the Bobcats got changed. God damn, what's what's gonna be to the what's the damn but what we're gonna do the next Like on, no more fans, this nigga ball is killing this nigga the number one point guard. You can't get no fans killing troubles every thirty he averaged thirty. You man, it was I like the other day.

Somebody posted to me and I want apologize to you. We just playing in Indiana. I was back home. You bought me a bunch of tickets and gave me some tickets. But Joe, we was in the playoffs, I think, and Jail Green spun off me and dunked on you.

And I remember going to that he did not blocking.

Let me said, yeah, don't set me up as a little bit.

Yeah, this ship. You want to nigga get a free straight line like I was like standing in the rim. I was though, like he was coming down.

He tea it was on the wing and I was trying to guard it, and he spun off me and he like blew by me fast and.

Smooth, reaching off because a gambler, gamble smooth went for it. And then we ran down, you know, smooth and give you don't care. We got to the bench because I'll be mad because I can't get nigga back, like right back. The office is going through percent like the whole court. You know what I'm saying, Like, Damn, Jeffson got a couple of niggas pushed though It's okay, he learned that ship from baby niggas. Go get that ship, Josh. He was like, they didn't bring me here the while y'all with my.

Defense, get that, Smoothie said, I ain't gonna your defense. Bro, you should have been like I don't know if he was first team.

Ever never, but you why do you think you never got that? People got to understand is the game is political, you know what I'm saying, Like, once you get to that level, it's political thog. Like that's why you always hear other NBA players tell you that they're basically telling you what I tell you. The best players don't fucking make it because of how do negros handle their success when they feel like they have the word that their their feet, you know what I'm saying. And it could be like high school, like you're getting all the looks, you hollering, all the girls, you get to you the man, how do you handle that? Do you handle it humbly? Like this ain't shit? You know what I'm saying, Like this is just a scratch of the surface or do you handle the like this is yeah, I'm that nigga. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. I hear what you're saying. Like just like every every athlete, it ain't even got to be a black kid, you know what I'm saying. It's like, how do you handle that success? Do you know what year though? You felt like you definitely should have been I know you're yeah you ye man, it was it was.

It was made that bet and Bibby, I bet you bet k you would shoot a certain amount of threes and Nigga was shooting all midties and was killing.

Yeah, I was, And I was like, hebout can make the All Star team. But then but then it was the year that Joe got hurt, I got hurt. It was it was we came back from the from the bout year our tourist pig and Joe was just in and out with his cat and we still got what third and the third in the East. So I was like, it was playing I'm gonna make nigga this this this was a year where your brother was talking about I came to Kentucky and I was playing shitty. I was like, look cause like niggas. Understand, I never gave no no, I never gave a damn about like summer basketball practice, summer basketball. I was a shitty ass player. Like it was just like I'm here for conditioning, Like let me know, like do you want me at seven am? Or do you want me at seven pm? I was one of them niggas like I'm gonna get this condition there, just like just like the shooting ship, I want to I want to talk about that. That was a good one. No, so I'm looking at we like your your brother there. Lebron wasn't there. You know what I'm saying. It was just like the OKC players and some of the Boston players. You know what I'm saying. When I was there. So when I was playing, like I was hooping. But I'm like, Nigga, what what that nigga? What a nigga Jones that? You know what I'm saying, What a nigga t Jones? That like the nigga he wasn't showing up because I'm like, Nigga, this is supposed to be the nigga y'all team. Like niggas in here, Like if I was him, I'll be running to the gym, so he said, was scared O, no nigga, I'm were asking for this nigga, Like, why is this nigga not coming? So boom your your brother probably just hyped the nigga up. That's what Held said. I hyped that morning. I ran back to the dorm like there was some niggas in there. I said, you know, I hype the nigga up. He came in there. He had a decent day. He had a decent day. I ain't gonna say he said this he didn't do. He said, kill lord. He said, this is from this is from my love, This is from nephew.

That moo said, nigga be here, and T Jones came that motherfucker shut that bitch.

Damn nigga went back to He's lying up because there was other niggas in there. That kid, you know what I'm saying, So they might have beat my team, but Rondo and them team Smashington. You get your ass smack. You know what I'm saying, the cap because if you felt that good, it would have been a different type of entry to the NBA. You feel what I'm saying, no disrespect, it would have been a different type of approach to the NBA Like these niggas ain't ship. You had that type of success against Hall of Fame players. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. Let's be honest, we keep it the trip. So so I'm like, okay, boom, I had I remember I didn't play bad against Taron Jones. I played bad against the Oakland City of Oklahoma City team. So they like, oh, this niggas suck. Like I'm walking back to the to the hotel getting into it with my partner at the time, like you how you and y'all you know my funny you playing around the ship got that we weren't about to squabble up in the middle of let's say we about have got there, Like hold on, you know what I'm saying. So I'm like, ship fuck that marked ass on the on the menu, marked ass, get ass thirty something that when I had that dunk on these bo Yeah, they when I had that dunk on the bottle with my historic my historic dunks, And I'm like, I gotta stop playing with niggas. You know what I'm saying. That was that was just me like knowing like I gotta stop playing bro, Like I gotta stopped just getting getting fucking you too comfortable. I was comfortable. It was like because I was comfortable knowing that it's niggas in practice at the bust your ass and they get sudden the game won't do ship. So I'm like, Nigga, I don't want to be known as no practice player. You get what I'm saying. I don't want to be noticed. No, no nigga that can leave plus minus in practice. I want to.

I was different though, because I remember one time I was killing the practice, like when I first was a rookie. You know how you're playing hard as hell as a rookie and y'all just kind of chilling. And what he got mad at y'all and y'all was like, come on, man, this nigga just start blocking every show.

I'm going to the back heat block. I'm trying to like, I'm trying to save myself. And I'm like, because I'm athletic as hell, bro, I'm not trying to come down on nigga for the practice. Then boom, I'm out fucking two weaks. But I didn't know how.

I mean, I take my ankles like I I knew him from high school, like he was athletic, but I ain't no like, I wasn't no fan of too many people. So I'm like, nigga, don't give fuck. And then we were shooting free throws and I'm like, y'all can go through the legs. He was like, for real, shot the ball, grabbed it, just went through the legs.

To it. Everybody was like, you're not athletic. You told you legs. So he just shot, got the ball, just went off, got that walk into it. I was like, yeah, it was just like when you what we were saying, like the shoot around ship, right, So let me like what we had shoot around like either eleven o'clock or ten o'clock, right, so we had shoot around. I'm shooting. We shoot like a motherfucker. We're going through their plays, We're going through our plays. Right. Then you going to the game, right, you got it. You got the rookie bus, you got a veteran bus. So I'm on the veteran bus by the time he gets there. So I'm like, I'm already knowing I got eight shots, eight to ten shots this game. Every game, I know I got eight to ten shots, depending on how wide, how maneuver this ship you know what I'm saying. So I'm like, Isaac, did we not like so nigga, you got fifteen shots? Like you got fifteen minutes per slot. You know what I'm saying. So my my slide is fifteen minutes his slot fifteen minutes when the game, like before the game start. So I'm coming to that motherfucker. If I make two shots, I'm like, Ship, I'm cool. You know what I'm saying. I'm like, mentality is like, okay, Ship, I'm hot night. You know what I'm saying. If I missed two, I'm like, Okay, I gotta stay like extra five ten minutes. You know what I'm saying. I'm never I'm never staying at fifteen minutes. That nigga shoot around ship was cracky. It was like that was my mentality, Like fuck that ship, like they need to shoot two shots. Fucking listen here crazy going, Oh I'm running, I'm running a lout them two go in.

But stuff and be playing hard as hell. And I'm like, because on defense, bro, he made up for everybody's mistakes. That's why I used to be like and why am people don't like, like y'all understand what this Nigga doing.

He got six blocks and three steals.

But even if you look at it now like Drew did, Drew got dpo whid like ad got like but you talk about them as being regarded some of the best defitens at least, like you said, to your point, the players know it's more political than it is.

All nine it is because I got it was one time I was defensive player runner up and I make the second team. You know what I'm saying, Player the Year and get second team, Like, yeah, that's what happened with Like so d White one day year and I got second behind him and I was still second team. Yeah that's crazy. Make that make sense. So I'm like, because you don't play a five, so that's right now. So after that, it's like like just like being out of by you, Like I respect everything he do because he's guarded one through five. And then it's skilled as the league is today for him to be able to isolation stop a point guard that can really just dribble thirty times now to try to get a bucket and to stop him, you gotta look at stuff like that like that was yeah, that was me. So it was like two years I led the league in like isolation. Like isolation plays percentage wise, I led the league in that. But that's what I hang my hat on, Like I love cutting the nigga water off. You know what I'm saying. I love that ship. Cutting the nigga water off is everything. Like I used to tell I used to tell Tea, like, man, just just just act like you're gonna strip that mother let him. Let him pick his step up. So my step was like, if you do this, I'm blocking that ship. If you come straight up, I don't know, Like, but if you picking that motherfucker up, you're stepping do not. I will just reach I'm a blocket. Yeah, just run through them and get the You're gonna get a rebound. Listen, yeah, yeah, absolute, Yeah, he's gonna swing through boom rebound. He get a rebound at least one, one or two rebounds. I'm in dwhite at that time, Broa, because I'm chasing ship. I was chasing it down before Lebron was. Now. Lebron did that ship one time with Tayshaun Prince and you know they made that like, oh that's his career, But no, I was. I was really one of the ones that that did that ship in high school, I started at McDonald's. McDonald's all American. You gotta highlight tape the chase down blood because I'm you know, did you always live on that though? Was that your like? Who put that better in your back? And the negga to play defense?

Because to me, like, well, I pay attention to the au world, but I feel like a lot of people if they see you, they don't catch those highlights. Are you swatten ship or you know being the best help side defender them their.

Low key ever in high school? For real? To me, yeah, I got I gotta shout out of coach frank Man shouting out Celtics reci pe r P when they talking real one man, real man. He had to the man. The man had the hairline back there to his nick. You know what I'm saying. He got that look. He had that sticky just ain't stick in his mouth. He was like, chieve y'all played the chief, y'all play defense? Chief you want longemany I played defense? He had that stick in his mouth. I'm like, man, I got you. But it was a coach that I knew, Like, see one thing about these players, they don't they go through life meeting all kinds of coaches, all kinds of trainers, right, but they never rarely meet a coach that's gonna put them down on some ship, you know what I'm saying, like on some real ship. Like so he was a coach, like I was a nigga that didn't have ship. I ain't have I ain't have no money, you know what I'm saying, Like my parents ain't have no money. So whatever the program gave me, that's what I had. You know what I'm saying. I was a nigga that had like I'm getting a basketball pair of shoes for the whole year, you know what I'm saying. So I'm telling him like, Okay, I got it, Like he like he holed me down. Niggas talking about me. You know what I'm saying, my home, my teammates talking about me. I ain't got ship. He taking up for me, you know what I'm saying, because he knew I was special, Like he knew I didn't have the ship that he knew I was gonna obtain. But he just like you know what I mean, he knew so like that was a that was a that was the coach that kind of like he more than my my everything. Like then I went to Okhill. So Steve Smith was one of the mother coaches too, So like where you rank Steve Smith as like I don't care, like what level coach one he won? He won, He's one, not the two. We're going rankings where you work yourself at O Hill.

You got Mellow, I'm got Rondo, I'm top five, you got Jackson on top five, So I'm the five.

I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say Mellow, stack House, me Rondo, Kevin Durant, Are you gonna call KD? But he went to Mount I mean he ends up going to Mouth. O Hell, you got you got Michael Beasley. All these niggas went to school there. So are we doing graduates? Graduating? Okay? So me Carmelo, stack House Ron though, you gotta have the Jenis in their.

Sight before we get out of here. Last question back and forth. Sure the BJS Arondo conversation, OK Hill. Rondo broke a record for assist. So it's like, are you a point guard or your shooting guard?

Because you can't want to be a point guard because it's shooting guard. So you get to shoot the ball and the point guard. So point guard is the he's the set up man. And my honorable mention goes to thy lawson. T loss you, Michael Michael Beasley, my my dog man. He got he got. He got kicked out because he was autographing everything. Now that's what people don't know. He was an autographing. This what got him. He autographed the bumper sticker of the deans of the school. That's what kicked out. He's autographing library books, everything, shirts he won the Grass High school basketball player. I would love to see autograph book. Might be got one man show like, look, okay, I'll stop playing. Stop playing. Show the folks that he was out there tripping. Where's the bumper sticks I've been? He ain't got that. He probably like, damn, that's the same that. See what I'm saying. So when when kids are doing historic ship, let him do it. Let them.

You never know where it's gonna take you for sure. Listen, man, it's been great. We're gonna do this again, big smooth.

We appreciate you. Man. Like we said, one circle, you kick it off for us. Man, we appreciate you give us that moment. Man, Thanks for having us at the show. Man for show Man, for me out of here and be here telling people that grabs some chat shop twenty dot com. Baby, until that time, we all love MATL appreciate you, My dog man Man, Volume
