Today's show featured a tribute to one of Australia's best female bush poets Shirley Friend by one of our longtime Aussie talents from Darwin and brilliant poet himself, Marco Gliori. A funny and heartfelt tribute.

Mary Anderson visual artist and very talented local concertina player joined us live at 10am to tell us all about The Yarra Valley Arts Open Studios to be held on the 12th & 13th October and the inaugural opening of Mary Anderson Arts. Mary's studio will offer a warm fire, devonshire tea/cuppa alongside a fabulous array of watercolours, mixed media, oil canvasses, gichlee prints of original paintings, and demonstrations during the day. You can check out more of her work at https://www.instagram.com/maryandersonarts/?hl=en

We were delighted to speak with Karyn Bugeja from Amazon 1863 Project regarding tales of the shipwreck of The Amazon, which has been completely unearthed at Inverloch on the main surf beach. If you're heading down to Inverloch this school holidays check it out. Further information can be found at https://amazon1863.org.au/about/
