Things are heating up on The Block in the lead up to the finale so Clairsy & Lisa spoke to W.A Contestants Kyle & Leslie about it.
The Block continues seven point thirty on Channel nine and nine now continues tonight. We are well and truly at the pointy end, as they say, because we're moving outside. I do love the backyard. We joining us now. Kyl and Leslie are doubly way couple on the block. Good morning, guys, I doom I love so good good now. It's no secret Clercy and I both love a bit of real estate porn. And for the last ten minutes, our last ten minutes, I've been pouring over the listing on domain for fourteen Charming Street Inhampton East in Victoria, and guys, it looks beautiful. Photos really, yes, it photographs beautifully, well done.
Thank you so much. Now it really does come together really amazingly at the end, and it even has a different feel to it when you're there in person. So you see it and it looks looks stunny, but then when you're in there just has a whole different feel. We just had our open for inspections with the public over the weekend, as everyone would have seen, and yeah, I think that's a lot of the feedback that we got was just that it felt different, look even better in person, a lot more spacious, and so it was Yeah, it was really validating. Yeah, a way we're all on the validation station. It's like what you've done over the twelve weeks and just getting to share that as well with people.
Yeah, because it's been I mean, if it's been tough for me to watch sometimes, I can only imagine what it's been like for you. Because here you are building this beautiful house, staying all out of all the extracurricular unnecessary drama that's been involved this year, and then it comes to Sunday night and the judges are like, are you even looking at the same house?
You know?
And can I just say the judges have been really wrong before.
No. Absolutely, And that's the kind of thing that you know, people keep that sort of at the front of your mind as you're going along on a Monday. They've like, you know, it's about the end in games. It happened in the past. The judges was slammed someone and they they have success at the end, and you know we did. We didn't know that. We're aware of that, but I guess it is. It is different watching it back and having sort of those feelings all over again, but then not being able to sort of move on on a Monday and start a new area. Yeah, exactly something else. Now it is tough, you know, state about what the judges said again.
Tested your resolve, I imagine absolutely to get up and.
Get up with u.
As Lisa mentioned the drama, I mean, did you think there'd be this level of bitching because I've watched a couple of hips co of weeks ago and turned it on. I went my watching math, so here what's going on?
Yeah, it's actually bizarre. Do people know that, firstly we were on the show, we were actually building a house.
Yeah, it is mind blowing that people don't think about how this is going to you know, how they're going to look when it actually ends up on the Telly the Sunday night. Of course, the redo room was for your living room, which it did seem a bit small first time round, but it's it's it's a completely different room now.
Absolutely. I think it was like it It ended up being the best result that we could have gotten. And I think, if you know, if that on that Wednesday when Dan came in and had a discussion about taking the wall out, I think if we pulled the trigger then we would never have gotten the result that we have gotten now with just that little bit of extra time to have a discussion with the engineer about what we could do in that room in that phase. Yeah, and yeah, I think, you know, an extra week of sort of thinking about the functionality and the layout of the room's really proved beneficial for us. And I think you got the best result ever.
Hindsight's a wonderful thing. It's great that you have the opportunity to actually do something with it with hindsight.
Yeah, no, I I right, you just go through to every room and just see that again, is that particular space because it was such a huge part of what is the main hub of the house. Yeah, it just yeah, and we just think we've gone through so many options. Even late into redo week, we were still tossing and turning about with we were going to put furniture because just the space is very difficult to sort of. And of course I was never getting rid of my dining table.
So no, I mean, you've got that King of Ladies, absolutely the best table ever. What is what is your favorite room in your house? What's the room you're most proud of.
I really love the studio still.
Ye, yeah, with the pilates.
Yes, yes, yeah, yeah. The studio space is amazing, and people sort of don't realize that's the studio when they come and look at the house in person, they sort of think a position differently to where it is. But for me, it was it's the master on suite. Okay. So yeah, those curve sort of walls on either side. Yeah, I really loved that room, despite what the judge said, Well.
I love that curve in the the newly redone lound room, and I still think your tiny powder room is the cutest place to go to the toilet in the world, you know how. I love that little basin so much. I wish I could have that in my bathroom.
She wants it, she wants it.
Guys, guys, we really look forward to seeing what happens in the backyard because it's, you know, such a an exciting space in any house these days, isn't it. So that's We've got two more weeks to go, is that right? And then I guess early next month over for the auction, we.
Are absolutely yeah, on the home stretch now.
Well, by the way, I forget about Hughsy. I know another radio person who like we're putting an offer in I'm.
Saying we should all just people, should just get together in a group, and you all, yes, I like that.
We just pop over to Melbourne to go shopping and have lunch. I like it all right, guys, good luck, Fingers crossed for the last two weeks.
Congrats, I'm going very stealthily through all the armor as well.
Done that, well, they just they have just stood head and shoulders above everyone else in terms of class.
Absolutely,
