Will he be back? Elliott?
Yohe There's a new egot remember and woods that you struggle to spell.
Congratulations to Jennifer Hudson who has just become an egot. You know, I love an egot. It's the greatest accomplishment as an entertainer. It's when you've won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar. And last night Jennifer won a Tony Award, her first Tony Award for a Strange Loop, which scooped Best Musical at the Tony's in New York. So she's won the lot. She won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for dream Girls in two thousand and seven. She went onto win two Grammys, and in twenty seventeen, The Color Purple was named the Best Musical Theater Album. The first one was for her album in two thousand and eight, and she won a Daytime Emmy last year for the animated short Bubba Yaga, in which she voices the character of the Forest and also co produced. Not bad for someone who was an American Idol winner. It's incredible, So she really has gone on to do great things since she's forty, which is pretty young for egot status, and there's not many of them around. Mel Brooks as one, Audrey Hepburn's one Rita Marino as one. John Legend is a more recent one and more one of the younger ones. But good on your Jennifer Hudson.
And even the most humble of stars. You'd want to put those on a mantlepiece in a trophy room or something.
You would You'd want to put them somewhere with you'd just see them.
Did not in the toilet?
Have very good Now, you know, I've been talking about the series Pistol on Disney about the sex Pistols. The shows certainly put them back in the news. Their songs are charting again, and guitarist Steve Jones says he'd be down for an amber style hologram reunion. Words not often you hear sex Pistols and abr in the same sentence. Speaking on Rolling Stone's Music Now podcast, Jones, who was the founder of the sex Pistols, was asked about the idea of a Pistol's reunion in the future, and he said, we'll see that. Abba can do it. Without being there, I'd be down. Good luck talking, Johnny Rotten's not happy with you. Last week, the Sex Pistols God Saved the Queen was the biggest selling single in the UK. The nineteen seventy seven hit was reissued last month for the Platinum Jubilee because it was first written at the Diamond Jubilee time, and it hit the top spot exactly forty five years after it was notoriously denied number one. That's all we get back in seventy seven. Despite being banned by the BBC, it reached number two on the UK Singles Chart. It was actually listed as blank on the chart. It was just a blank line, no attention to avoid causing offense, and fans believed and believed to this day it was kept from the top spot on purpose. And you know what it probably was.
Yeah, I would imagine so. Yeah, But the fans bought it as soon as I found out there was any rebellion.
Involved, the old fascist rasion.
Love it not. The head started bobbing the same were in the pit.
More Lisa More podcasts soon ninety six, ninety six AIRMS owned West Coast Eagle Elliot, Yo, Good morning Elliott.
Good morning. You going on?
Good to see your button?
You will?
I am well?
How are you good?
Good?
We're going all right now. On the weekend, the Eagles surf course had a buy and you missed. You missed the Claremont game for the waffle side.
Yeah. I wasn't so innocent this time. I got pretty guilty.
Yes, I did so because the announcement from the tribunal was coming down, so he couldn't say much.
Last time we caught up.
No, not at all. So I think I got the news.
I reckon maybe nine o'clock a couple of hours after yep, and it was yeah, And I was a bit flat.
As getting a suspension for a week goes. Wouldn't this have been a preferable way to do it where you were where the team actually had to buy and you weren't coming back for that team. You just missed a waffle game.
Yeah, but honestly, it's probably the best possible outcome out of Yeah, I thought so.
Yeah, Yeah, I thought that's why.
They might not at Yeah, we'll take it. Unfortunately, i'd much rather play play the game.
Of course, yeah get another run?
Might they could have done with you?
But yeah, of it.
Dynamic?
Yeah?
Yeah?
Was it because there were too many Eagles players in there? Oh? It threw off the balance of the team. I don't know what was going on, Yes, and no.
I think they sort of ran out of legs as well because players are on manage minutes, so by the time it got to the fourth quarter, they probably had no rotations on the bench.
So it's probably where claimont just sweating that another level.
But yeah, I mean I would have much rather been out there playing football than running laps around lath Lane and doing column So yeah, cool, that.
Excuse my ignorance. But how's clament going in the in the waffle? Because I mean they're always a good side.
Honestly, I'm pretty good.
Yeah, Okay, that last quarter they started pine on the goals? How does it work with them? And I know they're very little you can say at an AFL level, but it's a different with the waffle, and obviously you can't you couldn't say much when you and here the other day.
You've got to be careful.
But it's a waffle a little bit more lenient with what you can say about things, or you still have to sort of like toe the lines and you find out what's going.
Yeah, you still have to toe the line, right, Yeah, yeah, so there might be a little bit more leway, but you still have to there's still a line there and you Yeah, you've got to toe it, so be careful, very careful.
Yeah. So the commission will crack down on you pretty hard, just like they.
Do with last week w a footy commission.
Now.
Being part of being a footballer is meeting fans and off field commitments, of which you still have plenty. You popped up a hungry Jacks. I did spear Wood last night.
I did.
How did those things go? What's the weirdest request you've ever had from a fan? Have you ever been asked to sign a body part? I have so they can tattoo it.
I have.
Actually I think I actually signed someone's leg one time. Oh and I said to him, I was like, all right, well, if I'm signing your.
Body, you have to get it tattooed.
And just as a joke, and I'm pretty and it obviously I had tattoos everywhere. That those reason why I said it.
Yeah, And he's going to got tattooed. I'm positive.
I'm positive I've tattooed someone or signed someone and he's gone and got a tattooed straight away, ran straight to the tatoo.
Parlor and got it.
Was it pretty close to twenty eight I think it was.
Yeah, I think it was around that time.
Ishah, So yeah, yeah, that's quite the compliment.
Yeah, yeah, quite a commitment to, isn't it.
But yeah, yeah, and maybe I should stop being so literal.
Yeah you suggest I did suggest it, so yeah, I did kind of force him into it. But yeah, I think that's the sort of the strangest things. But I was at Speeded last night, signed a few things. There's maybe the kids they roll out, which is great, maybe, but I have Yeah, they have a bit of fun. So I remember what it was like when I was a kid in NFL. Wide eye beside yourself. So they're good fine always.
You know you've made their absolute like, yeah, you never forget show and tell this morning at school.
You never forget.
So for me, yeah, I was growing up every time I idolized a FL footballs if I saw.
One and I was I was like I was a kid at Christmas. I was so nervous. I'll be shaking.
I'll be like, do you remember who you looked.
At had that effect?
Who?
Which which player had that effect on your?
Meeting all of them?
I had a few because I was a mad doctor growing up. And then Dad knew a few of them through like he had some horses and then so they all owned like.
A really good horse together called Ellie Corse Sam and there was Yeah. So there was a group of them and Dad was like, I wanted you to come down to training. You know, kids will love that.
Dad surprises all. And I was like, we had Peter Bell, Shawnie Mack. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Medas was there as well.
It might have been Hayes. All of them come down and I was like, oh my god, this is the best thing ever. Yeah, it was amazing. So yeah, you never forget.
Yeah, that's pretty cool.
I remember when we gave away a car last year and you and I were at the photo shoot outside CBO.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A bloke came up and he wanted something sometimes Yeah yo, yeah that's all.
He said, and he just pointed and pointing.
Yeah, he stopp pointing that he could shoved something in front of you, So be careful with fans. Fans and sometimes they have a different way of approaching.
Yeah they do.
Yeah, it's it's interesting. There is a few that you know that the manners to go at the door, get a bit over and get so excited.
Yeah, yeah they do.
But you know they mean well, of course, well.
They wouldn't be there and they wouldn't be saying your name if did.
You mean something exactly earlier?
The Eagles plage a long enough just this Saturday about standards two thirty five. The Cat's are currently fifth on the AFL ladder.
You are in.
That, Hesita, We see, we'll see.
We have to wait till Thursday, don't we Yeah, Okay.
Are you fitting?
Is it?
Is it likely?
I'm gonna put my hand on.
Yeah.
So that means that if they want to select me, okay, And.
Can you confirm any of the inns this week John shed Ley and Bryan Willie Reol and Jeremy McGovern, I.
Could confirm what non committed, what what the team seat says on Thursday early doors? Yeah, I think so.
There might be a few that may need some more minutes, but there might not be, So it depends. I think that's kind of what they're weighing up, whether or not they they're in the same boat they' putting their hand up, or whether they're like an on another one.
So that will come down the individual player.
So hypothetically, will you start in half back rather than the midfield?
I have been playing if I do start, If you do start, I have been playing in the back line. So if I do come back, then I'll be playing through there, all right, all right, So.
You might come across Jeremy Cameron or one of those Cats forwards who are pretty good.
Yeah, you might to block them.
Old teams are playing pretty good. Yeah you're yeah, yeah, we all we've got to have a work cut out for us.
How much running today make you do last week?
Man?
A lot? Oh yeah, yeah, I'm scarred deeply. Scards guard for life.
This is quite a milestone. If this is ever Adam Simpson is going to become the twentieth person to notch up a combined five hundred AFL VFL players matches. Rather as a player and coach, he will become the only member of the club to have played all his matches at one club three hundred and six with North Melbourne before coaching all his matches at a different club.
Yeah, pretty impressive.
So that's pretty impressive. Yes, yeah, he and twenty in the overall scheme of the game is not that many, is it.
Yeah, it's nothing. Yeah.
And then even when you look back as well and you go, Jesuz played three hundred and six games, like a lot of people forget that, rue so, which is super impressive, super impressive.
So and you know, captain come the premiership.
All the player as he was as as he is the captain.
I mean I've heard some stories that he was like he was like he was the one that always organized the footy trips and stuff like that and the big sort of you know parties.
He was the one that kind of brought them all.
Together because I've always loved how cool he is. You know you see him in the coaches box and something that I think you.
Could play the same club with big personalities when you had Stevens and you had Carry of course there and a few others.
Yeah, a lot of NOOI King and yeah.
Yeah, so he was just you know, just round him up, round him up, yeah, get him in, get him into it.
My day celebrations for thirty years since the nineteen ninety two Premiership with our like Many bouncing up and down like a little kid on the final siren.
Yeah, it's amazing, but you weren't even born. Yeah, very bizarre, very bizarre. For me, it's kind of like, oh yeah, like you see.
About the flashbacks of course like that, and you know it's but for me it's kind of like, oh, well, I grew up sort of watching the you know, the lines with the three pell and Sydney and the West Coast there for you know, six so five.
Yeah, so that was kind of my year of football that I grew up watching.
I went to your thirtieth anniversary of the twenty eighteen it'll be twenty forty eight and you'll be fifty five.
Oh thanks for telling me. Thanks for the remind us out.
Oh god, there's there's too much maths in the world. Speaking speaking of speaking of our boy Many, Zach Main Wearying has said he plays for Clermont right now, and he has said he would probably quite like to play for West Coast at some stage. Have you had anything to do with Zach.
I haven't no, but I've seen him around, like, especially when he's a young kid. They do like that, you know, the father's son sort of academy and all that. So I've seen him around the halls when he was like a real young tacker at SUBI, but I haven't I haven't seen him much since, and especially when they get to a certain age and they kind of they go off and play.
Yeah, that would be quite at a moment if you put it on the West Coast Jumper and run out that that would be huge, incredible Zachi, Yeah, to be absolutely huge.
I was just to give those nights down at SUBI when we did the Many tribute game and they have the mascots run around, but the players would always give Zach a couple of goals in the square.
Yeah, absolutely, kid.
So hopefully he can do like what a West he did and work his way up through the waffle and then get picked.
You're a waterman or yeah, well water we've got.
Picked straight at Aden where Western you sort of come through is a bit more of a ummateurre age.
Do you want any any care to add maths into what you know? Well, might he might be seventy five or some anniversary.
Good to see your mate. We'll do maths and English next time you can do the English.
Yeah, if you do the math, We're all good.
The Sure reports on ninety six.
A FM.
Claers is so sad to wake to the news this morning that Julie Cruz has died. Now, who could ever forget Julie's haunting theme for Twin Peaks?
You so.
It was amazing, wasn't it.
Was?
That to bring it back, it brings it straight back. Cruz first worked with Twin Peaks director David Lynch on Blue Velvet in nineteen eighty six Look at Me. She was working as a waitress in nineteen ninety when the Twin Peaks theme shot to the top of the charts around the world, and like fame was just sort of thrust upon it. One minute she's serving, you know, dinner, and the next minute she's being asked to be on Saturday Night Live to sing that.
Isn't that?
That track?
So very sad. Julie Cruz was sixty five. Now it just elba is back in the running to play James Bond. The actor was believed to have stepped back from replacing Daniel Craig, but he's back under consideration after scoring favorably in market research. It's the obvious one to play James Bondamina Producy Susie and I have been having this argument. She thinks that Interest is too old. He made the rude comment this morning about he can't be jumping off trains and things in sequels when he's seventy. Well, he's forty nine. Forty nine. It's got a good three sequels in him before he even starts to reach his use by date.
I'm confused the Bond movie I just watched with Rummy Mallick. I'm sure Bond died so he can come back like God spoiler alert, ha, Sorry, of course, fugging that up. I came out last year.
What are you doing?
James Bond died?
What was going on?
Blame Ramya, Blame Freddy Mercury. Oh my god, what time to bring on interest?
Then, yes, you are perfect begging every way.
He's just a youngster.

So, actor Chris Pratt has revealed he can finally spell Swartzenegger some three years after getting married to Arnie's daughter Katherine.
Schwartz and Aga, and he knows that a spell that he.
Didn't have to spell it in the vows, just say it. They got married back in June twenty nineteen, and Pratt has just been on Jimmy Kimmel. He said he's finally come to terms with it. He said he struggled with it for a while. Well, it is a tough one's there's zaid's and g's and e's and a's going all over the place. But he said he has now learned how to spell it, which is just as well because I think their kids have it as their middle name, second or middle name. Too many names there, I don't know.
And why would you do that to yourself? I guess maybe if Annie said this has got to be a second middle name, you do well to Arnie.
It's probably not uns. It's probably an easy.
No, that's right.
Yeah, yeah, Austrian names it can be pretty tricky.
But we want to ask you on thirteen ten sixty five, what word do you go to spell? Was there any like particular ones that come to mind?
I've got one because we do it a bit with work now, researching music and stuff like that. And Alanas Morissett's name got me for years.
Because Alanas Morrissette's name.
So she has just one R, but two s's and two t's. It always always did my head in.
That's a name though, that's it is a name that the word.
For me is Yeah, that's right, And the word for me is connoisseur. Because I want some ice cream. I won't write down connois because that's a tricky one.
It's a lot.
It's a lot to write down the expensive, the one leader really.
Yummy stuff we love.
If I write down connoiseur, Laurie looks at it and goes, what are you trying to spell there? It's you, guys, doesn't look at any because the double am and the double air center.
But you know, speaking of c I've always thought one of the most ridiculous rules in that, you know, we used to hear about in the English language, does the old I before e except us? Because that doesn't it actually doesn't work out that way at all. What about leisure and sovereign and protein and waight and ate and weird and foreign in vain and neighbor and and then also there's plenty of you know, I before ease that do come after? See who came up with that?
You mentioned the word foreign. We're trying to learn English.
English is to learn because we have so many words that mean, you know, nine different things there and there's. How it's tough. Yeah, just get it right. I can't stand getting wrong with there, there and there.
Yeah.
If there's one thing you can learn in life, it's the difference between there, there and there.
Yeah. Yeah, you're right.
But anyway, what word do you struggle to spell? Lucy? And como? Hello? What is it that gets you.
Diarrhea?
If you don't like it? When that gets us?
Or in the spelling sense, I forgot about how hard that is to shocker, isn't it?
And ah's and the damn it's very hard.
You have to get the first three letters on auto correct? And then.
How much?
How many times are you writing it?
Doctor? I don't have.
A right okay, say no more? Thank you, Lucy. I'm having trouble writing it down now.
You're struggling with it is a difficult one. How many times do we rely on the old spell check? And you know, like the things prompting us to try and get it?
Sometimes I argue with spell check, I get a response.
Be funny, replies the chicken runs a mile O W A R D.
Melan kin Ross, Hello, Hi morning, everybody morning. What is yours at chiaha.
That's tricky.
Yeah it is.
I have a way to remember how to spell it.
Okay, what do you got? Is it a sign or what do you got?
It's sure.
Okay.
People look at you strangely if you're doing that in traffic mail.
I had people raise an eyebrow too, of course, but.
If it helps you, I reckon, get a sho. You don't have to say it.
I don't have one, but yeah, technique.
Yeah, that's quite the technique. Thanks mel No. Tiffany in Warwick, what what word do you have issues with spelling?
Well, it's not me, but it's my best friend who I used to work with.
She didn't know there was different ways to spell.
Jeff or Jeffrey. Ah right.
So we had a patient come in and his name was Jeff g e O s.
And she walked out to collect him and said Geo, oh dear.
So she was just looking at the j.
So yeah, hopefully yeah Geoffry.
Yeah, I bet he tells that story. I was at this place and they.
O my.
Geoff Darren and Gidge Gan up, get you Gan up? Get you What word is it that that just gets you every time?
Well?
I think it's a crawlous word in the English dictionary. Yeah, it's dyslexia. Oh yeah, so this is this is something that I also suffer from and for many many years because I didn't get diagnosed until much later in life, and for many years I thought I had lix Heah.
It is a tough one. It's not easy. Just well, it's a while before you get a.
Vowl and frustrating when it's a diagnosed.
Very frustrating. Thank you, Darren. Thanks Karen in North Lake, Hello, Hello, what word is it? Entrepreneurship?
The ship, whole, whole entrepreneur.
I made a course in it a while back and by the end of the course I could spell it, but I couldn't spell it now.
You know, there are some words that you know, if someone asked you to spell, you've got to write them down to make sure you know. Some words you can just spell out. But entrepreneur or ship is definitely one of those ones. I've got to write down, give it more thought, to make sure I'm getting in you, to make sure it looks rush. Thanks Karen. We've been talking about the words your struggle to spell this morning. Christy and Westminster, Hellos, Hey, how you going, guys, good word is yeah, yeah, yeah, because it's a funny in the middle. Yeah, and spell it as you say it, like as it sounds.
That one just sounds Rogers.
Yeah, that's a good one.
Yeah.
That and the other and the other name.
Saban is not there there.
That's the off putting thing, isn't it?
That be.
A few Irish names are like that, I think to sort of work out so many tricky ones. Well, thank you, Christine, thank you.
You don't stopping on Irish and Welsh towns.
Oh my gosh, by a vow you'd never get it, Jared and forest Field. Last all, what's what word do you struggle to spell?
When I was younger, it was mortgage. I didn't know there was a silent tea. Actually, I argued with my teacher for about ten minutes with it. Yeah you're going, yeah, just just spell it out mortgage And I said, yeah, I am a g and we literally. Luckily it was my sister's friend brother who was my teacher, but I think because of that he took it on a little bit longer than what we needed to.
But you were spelling it out, does it sounded? Yeah, it's a tough way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He said there's a tea in there, and after about five minutes I went, no, there's not, and he got a dictionary showed me. I was like, oh, well there is all right when you when you're and you don't want to give it up.
But Jared didn't give you any tips on how to pay it off quicker, No, it definitely didn't.
English teacher, thank you.
Jared's all right, blooty six AFM, I'm crazy and Lisa
