Korean BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
1 cup soy sauce
¾ cup dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon chili-garlic sauce (such as Sriracha®) (Optional)
1 ½ teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon Asian (toasted) sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
Remember, cook with your heart.. add or subtract for your flavor
BBQ Salmon Sauce
lemon pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
salt/pepper to taste
⅓ cup soy sauce
⅓ cup brown sugar
⅓ cup water
¼ cup vegetable oil
I subbed lemon pepper for slices of real lemon.. also I used less quantity of liquids so my glaze was thicker.. I smoked the salmon first skin side down on tinfoil.. then added sauce and lemon slices,, wrapped the salmon in tinfoil till flakey.
NOTE..for both sauces. Heat them in microwave until thickened.. I apply after items are cooked. You can brush meat with sauce and add the rest when done..BUT if you pour on sauce at beginning you will be cleaning the BBQ
