Ravindranath Tagore was a writer, composer, philosopher, painter, and poet.
He was born on 7th May 1861. He was the first Indian to receive Nobel Prize for literature. Tagore wrote the national anthem of India 'Jana Gana Mana'. Some of his Bengali poems are translated into Marathi by Padmini Biniwale.
