Mata Parvati is the wife of Lord Shiva. She comes on earth sitting on the lion and with many weapons to kill Durgamasur one of the demons.

The battle between them lasts for nine days and on the tenth day, Parvati achieves victory. Mata Parvati brings water and life back on the earth.
