Freedom Fighter Lokamanya Tilak was very clever right from his childhood. His favorite subjects in school were maths and Sanskrit.
He was justice-loving and always ready to fight against injustice. He wrote Geeta Rahasya in the prison of Mandale.
He died on 1st August 1920. So we remember him on this day. Due to the efforts of many freedom fighters we got independence on 15th August 1947.
