Last spring, the Caruthers High School girls basketball team won the DIII CIF State Championship. As the 2024-25 season gets underway Coach Anna Almeida and standout junior (and daughter) Emmi Almeida returned to look back at their championship and looked ahead to defending it.

Fresno Christian award-winning U.S. history teacher Kori James (also an adviser for the student-led award-winning publication The Feather Online) and talented student and photojournalist Selah Neal return to the program. March is Women's History Month. Instead of tracking down someone with a national profile and marquee name for these segments, CG wanted to celebrate several local women who are highly accomplished. Enter Kori and Selah. Both have done, and continue to do, remarkable things inside and outside the Fresno Christian classrooms in the areas of teaching, journalism and photojournalism. They are indeed marquee names in their own right.
