Last season on Choosing Sides, we established unequivocally that  F1 is the pinnacle of motoracing. We helped co host Michael Kosta choose his team and driver and then we sent him on his jolly way. But as it turns out, F1’s newest fan is still a little confused. Season 2 co host, Toni Cowan-Brown, thinks she knows what his problem is. He hasn't figured out what kind of F1 fan he is.

But with now three races in the USA - Miami, Austin and Vegas - Formula 1 is growing in popularity and increasingly being discussed in spaces outside of motorsports. 

In season One, Daily Show correspondent Michael Kosta, got the dirt on teams, their history, and their drivers, from how they came up through the sport to the messy problems they’ve had in recent seasons. In Season Two, he's coming back to the table with more questions, and new co-host, Toni Cowan-Brown, will help Michael figure out what type of fan he is. Unlike other sports, Formula 1 offers a wide range of interesting topics - the gossip, the fashion, the logistics, the technology, the business... you get the point.

But there’s more to these teams and their drivers than simple stats, race wins, and championship standings. For instance, when did Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff become both a meme magnet and a thirst trap? How did Haas, the only current American-owned team, lose millions of dollars to a sketchy energy drink tycoon? And which driver received death threats and hired a bodyguard at the end of last season all because he crashed into a wall?

In each podcast episode, tech, culture, and F1 commentator Toni Cowan- Brown will give Daily Show correspondent Michael Kosta, the dirt on a team, its history, and its drivers, from how they came up through the sport to the messy problems they’ve had in recent seasons.
