38 years ago this week, a new album, whose title was inspired by a night in a Vancouver strip club, shot to the top of the album charts, and ended up becoming the best selling album of 1987. It was from a band named Bon Jovi who had travelled across the continent to record in Vancouver, and Slippery When Wet turned them into one of the biggest bands on the planet in the late 80's.
