After the aborted Let It Be sessions, the four members of the Beatles seemed to realize that the dream was over, and the band was about to break up. But first, they wanted to create one last masterpiece. And they succeeded. The album named after the street where they did their recordings, Abbey Road (EMI Studios would later take that name, due mainly to this album), would go on to be hailed as one of the band's very best, and one of rock's finest.
