Frank Beard, drummer for ZZ Top - and the only member without a long beard - died today at his ranch in Richmond, Texas after being in hospice care. He was 77. Hear Bilal's tribute on the Afternoon Rock Ride with clips of Frank and look back at his career. Commenting on his death, Billy Gibbons said, "Today, (bassist) Elwood Francis and I lost a great friend and collaborator, and the world lost one of the most naturally innovative drummers and a great and true son of Texas. His signature back beat was key to keeping ZZ on top. The band of which he was part for six decades is going to keep on keeping on as he had wished.” R.I.P. Frank
