Johnson highlighted the historical significance of quorum breaks, citing Abraham Lincoln's involvement in one, and advocated for an independent state redistricting commission. She also addressed voter suppression in Texas, particularly where it affects minority communities. Johnson called for increased public engagement and support from other states, including Illinois, to uphold democratic values.
