Richard is joined by Adam Mulvey, a retired Army sergeant first class and former government employee who lost his job on account of DOGE firings; he was Rep. Brad Schneider’s guest at President Donald Trump’s recent joint address to Congress.
Mulvey discussed his personal experience with recent Department of Veterans Affairs layoffs and talked about working at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Illinois. He also described the experience of attending Trump's joint address and expressed gratitude for the support from Rep. Schneider. Mulvey called for greater public awareness and advocacy to support affected veterans and government employees.
