Richard Chew is joined by Karen Tallian, chair of the Indiana Democratic Party, and Coumba Kebe, Democratic candidate for Indiana state treasurer.

The interview focused on Indiana Democrats’ campaign priorities and the state treasurer’s role in supporting residents and managing public funds. Here are a few highlights from the conversation:
- Kebe said her experience in health care and Medicaid advocacy motivated her campaign, citing concerns about support for children, seniors, people with disabilities, rural health care, and child care.
- She argued that the treasurer’s office can protect and invest taxpayer funds while speaking up about the economic consequences of policy.
- Tallian described efforts to recruit younger candidates, expand Latino outreach, contact mail voters, and mobilize volunteers.
- Both guests said they were hearing voters express strong interest in change, including in rural communities, and identified the restoration of political balance in the state as a central campaign message.
