Filmmaker Richard Attieh joins The Nightline to discuss Darwin 1942, the Forgotten War That Reshaped Australia — a documentary preserving the personal stories of veterans and their families. From remarkable stories of mateship and wartime memorabilia to memories passed down through generations, Richard is calling on Australians to share stories, photographs, letters and recordings connected to World War II on Australian soil. The project is also seeking support to help bring these stories to audiences and schools across Australia.
