RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars winner Jimbo stopped by Audacy’s CHANNEL Q for a conversation with Corey Crockett, to talk about her season 8 win, new tour, and more.

Talking about the past year, Jimbo noted, “it’s been life-changing, dream come true,” expressing how she always dreamed of “going back as an All-Star,” on the iconic RuPaul’s Drag Race.

“To participate in the first place was a dream come true, and to be able to do that at home here in Canada on Canada’s Drag Race was so fun,” Jimbo shared. “And then to go and compete in the UK, and then finally compete in the states and then win as the All Stars 8 winner was everything and such a dream come true and totally life-changing.”

Jimbo went on to chat about growing her fan-base with each different competition location, the drama of the UK season, and approaching season 8 of 'All Stars' differently, as well as new music and future projects.

Speaking of, now that Jimbo is a 'Drag Race' champion she’s taking her talents on the road with the brand new tour, Jimbo’s Drag Circus.

Before getting into discussing the show, Jimbo delved into the drag/clown persona that’s made her so successful. “Well, the essence of clowning is really about presenting yourself,” Jimbo said. “About being honest and true in that moment and really trying to share as much of what you’re feeling in that moment and dialing it up… Kind of you know, sharing on a big level, and so I weave that into you everything that I do.”

“Clowning is kind of a sensibility, it's sort of an outlook on the world, and so I feel like clowning, it sort of informs a lot of what I do. And it’s sort of that little secret special sauce that people like and they don’t necessarily always know that they’re watching clowning or that that’s what’s at the root of what they’re enjoying. They just go like that’s really weird and really funny and that gives me all the feelings and I love it.”

Talking about the tour, Jimbo shared, “After 'Drag Race' and after connecting with fans through my love of doing different characters, through drag, I wanted to put together a show that kind of showcased a few of my favorite characters to do. We kind of created this loose, fun, story around that through the narrative of the circus that kind of goes awry. If features lots of costumes and sort of different facets of all the different things I like of drag."

"It’s really weird it’s really fun and it kind of invites people into my brain and into my world.”

For all that and a whole lot more, listen to the entire interview above.
