It’s been more than three weeks since Laura Gover was found dead in her Saanich home. Police say her ex-husband, Muhammed Basar, has been charged with her murder.
Laura leaves behind two young daughters, just seven and eleven years old. Since then, the community has really stepped up — a GoFundMe has raised more than ~$330K to help support the girls through counselling, stability, and future needs.
Uptown Shopping Centre is finding a way to help too, donating proceeds from their Family Day photo sessions to Laura’s family.
Kristy Lowes, the General Manager of Uptown Shopping Centre, joins Josh & Jade to talk about why this mattered to them and how families can take part.
