In the year since the deadly Lapu‑Lapu Day attack in Vancouver, public‑event planning in British Columbia has quietly but fundamentally changed.
Festivals and parades were not banned — but for many organizers, especially volunteer‑run groups, they are proving far harder to deliver.

Josh & Jade are joined by Kelly Kurta, Executive Director of the Greater Victoria Festivals Society, to break down what has actually changed behind the scenes, why the experience has not been uniform across the province, and why long‑standing community parades are now struggling under the new normal.
