Limping Along: Interregional Transit and the Problem We Have Learned to Live With

View descriptionShare

For more than a decade, British Columbia has been quietly adapting to a growing gap in how people move between communities.

Private intercity services withdrew. Public transit systems continued to function largely within municipal and regional boundaries. And over time, we learned to live with the consequences.

Josh Hylden lays the planks for a deeper conversation in the days ahead about interregional transit, regional advocacy, and what it means to treat mobility as a shared public responsibility rather than an individual burden. The focus is on acknowledgement — because nothing changes until a shared problem is named.
