AL Smith, board chair and acting executive director of the Arts on View Society, tells Josh & Jade Hermann's Jazz Club could reopen before the end of the year if the society succeeds in raising the remaining $70,000 to $100,000 needed to complete renovations. Smith says major construction work is largely finished, inherited debts and liabilities have been addressed, and the society is not aware of any outstanding legal, tax, or financial obligations.
