A new visitor centre has been opened at the historic grounds of the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) in Observatory, Cape Town. It is co-funded by the Department of Tourism alongside the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation and the National Research Foundation, which administers the SAAO. Lester Kiewit speaks to Dr Daniel Cunnama, Science Engagement Astronomer at the South African Astronomical Observatory.
