The traders at Trafalgar Flower Market in Cape Town’s Adderley Street have created a petition to raise their objection against the introduction by the City of Cape Town of a monthly permit-based system. Many families have been trading there for generations, taking the reins from their parents and grandparents, and believe that it is unfair that the City now wants to disrupt how it has always worked for them.
