President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Justice Nambitha Christabel Dambuza-Mayosi and Justice Katharine Mary Savage as Judges of the Constitutional Court, to take effect from 1 May 2026. As a result, South Africa’s apex court will have a women majority on the bench, making it only the third country in the world to reach this point.
