The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) has raised an objection to a compulsory requirement for catering tenders at Khayelitsha Hospital to have halaal certification. The party believes that state institutions should be serving all citizens without favouring or elevating one religious standard above others in a manner that restricts opportunity.
