Tech company provides free software to help municipalities beat loadshedding

It has been estimated that 65-70% of vehicles on South Africa’s roads are uninsured, and there is a strong chance that at least one vehicle involved in a crash may not have cover. Given the increase in the number of vehicles on the road as well as the popularity of delivery riders for meals and online purchases, the topic of introducing a compulsory third party insurance has come up once again. Lester Kiewit speaks to Viviene Pearson, CEO of the South African Insurance Association, to discuss the feasibility of such a system.
