September is tourism month as well as Heritage month in South Africa, and as part of the “Know Your parks” theme, SANParks is running their annual SANParks Week between 16-22 September 2023, where South African citizens can get free entry into most of their 21 national parks. They have also arranged a deal with Metrorail where you can get a return trip on the modern People’s Train between Cape Town Station and Fish Hoek, whereafter a dedicated shuttle will transport you to and from Cape Point to enjoy your free entry. The trips will cost R130 for adults and R115 for children aged 12 and under.
