Street racing threat rears its head on Atlantic seaboard

Writer and publisher Ingrid Jones joined Lester Kiewit to reflect on the life and legacy of broadcaster and entertainer Soli Philander following news of his death. Jones recalled meeting Philander during her early days in radio, describing him as a larger than life personality whose presence was always felt. She spoke about his generosity and positivity, noting how in recent months he shared videos on TikTok dancing, speaking candidly and handing out food to people in need. Jones also shared a humorous memory of an argument over her sitting in his chair at the station, with Philander returning the next day with a samosa and coffee to apologise, a gesture she said perfectly captured his big heart.
