Taking a steam train trip takes one back to a bygone era, before diesel and electric engines took over. One can still enjoy such trips and head off from Cape Town to Ceres thanks to the Ceres Rail Company. But that’s not all they do, as they also have a commercial side which sees them hauling fruit into Cape Town and destined for export.
