SANParks is trying to decide on the best way to manage the female elephant living in the Knysna forest. According to a statement it’s also considering reintroducing more elephants to the area. It says it’s using evidence-based decision-making guided by sociological and ecological assessments. Lester Kiewit spoke to SANParks Scientist and Wildlife Ecologist. Liz Moolman.
