The Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) has issued a notice to its volunteers to be on standby, in case they are required to assist in the rescuing, cleaning and rehabilitation of any birds covered in oil from the wreck of the Ultra Galaxy vessel grounded northwest of Cape Town.
