Back in 2015, sober morning raves start popping up globally — and now the trend is taking off in Cape Town. Dylan Da Silva, Head of Food & Beverage at Neighbourgood & Nice, speaks to Lester Kiewit about how Nice Cafe at Church House becomes the first venue in the city to host a substance-free morning rave. Since launching about three months ago, these early-morning parties attract a growing crowd — with people arriving as early as 6am to dance, connect, and kick off the day with good vibes and strong coffee. Da Silva shares why Cape Town is getting behind the idea that a great time doesn’t need alcohol.
